That's part of it, at least for me. Right now I definitely prefer to watch lighter stuff, or heavy stuff that is not as realistic.

I saw profiterole_reads saying that it's like Korea's Queer as Folk, and that feels pretty accurate to me, too, and I was never much into QAF (UK). (I don't think it matters if I don't finish it; I'm still glad it got made, even if I'm not really the intended audience.)
