This was a very nice weekend

On Saturday I watched Sect Leader and Little Shimei's Story – 14 minutes of femslashy goodness about Demonic Sect Leader Xiao Rufeng and rebellious little disciple-sister Ye Xiaoqi. extrapenguin wrote about it here and here. They subbed it (the subbed version is linked in both those posts) and I will be forever grateful, because it is a delightful short film and both main characters are wonderful and beautiful.

Today I watched four vids on bilibili with additional material that wasn’t in the finished movie.

These are all super adorable – there is cuddling and hugging and hand-holding, and sleeping in one bed with Ye Xiaoqi looking at Xiao Rufeng with so much love in her eyes.

ETA: So I didn’t think about translating the titles of those vids, but extrapenguin explained in a comment below, that the 2, 3 and 4 are of a different "canon", titled Woman Doctor and Rabbit Spirit's Story. Which makes the presence of a cute white rabbit suddenly understandable. :) But the vids are nevertheless very sweet, so I’ll just leave the links here.


Today I also watched the first two episodes of Fairyland Lovers. I enjoyed it. It’s cute and funny and Bai Yu looks, as always, beautiful. I like main female character Lin Xia, too. And Bai Qi’s assistant A Li. Also there are magical umbrellas and a peach blossom plant that can move on its own. Wait, I mean alien umbrellas, definitely no magic here. ;) And it was such a nice surprise to see Ji Xiao Bing in episode 2 as one of the supporting characters. He played Zhan Yao in SCI Mystery, so it’s like a meeting of my two fandoms.

The vids are great and I hope they will let you forget about your cold at least for a few minutes. :) And I would love to have so much more about them, too - like a whole drama with, let's say, 20 episodes. :)

Oh, oops. Thanks for the explanation. I didn't think about translating the title, I thought they were alternative takes or something like that. Now I understand when the rabbit came from. :) And it is extremely sweet.

Ji Xiaobing is so fun in FLL! I'm realy enjoying his whole fish out of water thing.

I like this kind of character a lot and I really enjoyed Ji Xaiobing in episode 2. Can't wait to watch more this evening.
