The Fiery Priest 2 episodes 5-6
It’s still pretty funny and I still love Kim Nam Gil a lot. But in general I’m rather meh about it. They really go hard on the wacky, OTT humor and, like I’ve said before, it doesn’t mesh well with the more serious elements.
But, ok, I do find Kim Hong Sik a bit more interesting again. Apparently it’s enough to have him behave as if he already has a crush on Kim Hael Il. 😉 Yes, yes, it’s presented as him letting Hae Il live because Hae Il is a strong, worthy enemy and a good sparring partner. But if I want to interpret it as a crush I will. 😊
And I’m not really fond of Kim Hong Sik falling in love at first sight with Kyeong Sun. The scene itself was amusing, I admit, but as a subplot… Meh, I would prefer them not doing that at all. Is it to have a reason later for him not to kill her instantly when he finds out that she works with Hae Il? Because I guess otherwise it would be hard to believe that a cruel, merciless killer, who murders his underlings for making one mistake wouldn’t do anything to someone who wants to take him down.
Family by Choice episodes 13-14
So adorable, so touching and so heartwarming.
And I love, love, love Ju Won standing up for her boys. It was good with Hae Jun’s mom, and it was excellent with San Ha’s horrible mother. That was a fantastic scene and I cheered aloud when Ju Won told San Ha’s mother that she couldn’t borrow San Ha from Ju Won again, that she let her borrow him for ten years, but that was enough. Ju Won’s speech was brilliant, and it made me teary-eyed.
Dal was fantastic, too, in this episodes. She and Hae Jun are the cutest couple ever. And they will be officially dating in the next episode, yay. I mean this is my guess since Dal finally admitted her feelings to Hae Jun.

For the purpose of this post let’s count this as a kdrama. 😊 It’s a variety show about four Korean actors living in the northern-most region of Finland. Or to quote mydramalist:
“What unfolds when four of Korea's biggest stars swap their city lights for the raw wilds of Lapland, where even electricity and running water are a luxury? Brace yourself for a hilarious journey as the City Boys experience the self-sufficient lifestyle of local residents.”
I’m usually not interested in variety shows, they are not my kind of thing. But I kinda want to watch this one, because the four actors are: Lee Je Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Cha Eunwoo and Lee Dong Hwi. And I like the first three guys a lot. I’m not familiar with Lee Dong Hwi, I don’t think I’ve seen any of his dramas.
And the teasers look hilarious. This is the first short teaser (a minute and a half long). And this is the longer one (9 minutes).

Spare Me Your Mercy
The official trailer is here. Unfortunately there are no English subtitles.
It looks dark and depressing, but it’s Tor Thanapob in a BL drama, so I do plan to watch it. I just hope it will be available for international audiences. But the lack of subs in the trailer doesn’t bode well. We’ll see soon since it premiers on 28th of November.

It’s another Thai BL that is a bit longer than usual with 16 episodes and four different couples. It’s an ensemble university BL directed by New Siwaj, and I like those as sweet mind candy I watch when I want to unwind. We Are was like that for me and I enjoyed it as my weekly dose of pretty boys being cute and falling in love with each other, with only angst being mild relationship angst. And right now Prefect 10 Liners is my lovely Sunday piece of cuteness and fluff.
But this drama doesn’t work as well for me. The main pairing is fine, a bit boring but rather lovely, and I don’t mind them. And the eight episodes that already aired were focused on them and on one other pairing for now. The third pairing had like one, short scene hinting at something more in the future. And the fourth pairing didn’t even meet for now if I remember correctly.
Right now I’m wondering if I want to continue watching it. I probably won’t, since I have so many other BL dramas on my to-watch list. Why should I stick with the one that annoys me. 😊
Perfect 10 Liners episode 5
♥ ♥ ♥ It was indeed perfect 50 minutes of fluff and cuteness and hotness.

Spoilers here.
There was a death in episode 5 that I should feel sad about, but it was hard to care when it was squeezed in between too long silly comedic scenes, which were not even that funny most of the time for me.But, ok, I do find Kim Hong Sik a bit more interesting again. Like I thought Hae Jun’s mom is getting her redemption, and a revival of her romance with Dad Yun in the next episodes based on the preview. And I love, love, love Ju Won standing up for her boys. There are spoilers here, too.
I should enjoy Johan/North, it’s my kind of pairing. It has a handsome, aloof, hardworking guy who seems cold on the outside, but is very devoted and protective of his ray of sunshine love interest. But Johan is so controlling, telling North where he can go and what he can do, and expecting North to obey him without questions. And I would be fine with that if the show just acknowledged that behavior for what it was. But it’s like they don’t seem to realize how it comes across, and Johan’s behavior is treated as something romantic and cute that Johan’s friends tease him about. And then they have Ter teasing North about Johan’s possessiveness, too.Right now I’m wondering if I want to continue watching it. Minor spoilers and four kissing pics here.
Marc and Poon were adorable. And so sexy, too, wow, I never expected that from them. But of course I’m all heart-eyes about my beloveds. They were so adorable, and so hot with all the kissing (see proof below 😊). And as an additional super nice surprise - Tay Tawan guest starred as a character called Tawan. Heh...
