Only Friends episode 3

No more poor Mew from me, since it seems Mew absolutely knows what he’s doing. And he seems to like stringing guys along, I think. Isn’t he doing with Top exactly what he said in the last episode? “I’d like to know how long he stays around if I don’t agree to sleep with him.”

There was also Top and Ray having a dick-measuring contest over Mew. And both of them falling way too easily for Boston’s manipulation. Mew doesn’t seem to enjoy all this posturing much, but he also doesn’t really try to stop it. And he lets Top be all possessive and grab him by the wrist and drag him away even though just minutes ago he wanted to stay with his friends and help to clean after the party.

But because I don’t think that Mew is sweet, innocent and naïve, it doesn’t mean that I think he’s some kind of devious mastermind always one step ahead of everybody else. He’s just a complicated person, like everybody in this drama and I love that. He knows that Ray has feelings for him and he won’t be able to reciprocate those feelings, and I think he genuinely wants Ray to move on and find someone else. That’s why he pushed him into Sand’s direction. But I think he’s also used to Ray always being there for him, ready to come running whenever Mew calls. And he probably likes it a little bit, too.

Now I’m wondering about what exactly happened between Ray and Mew? Was it just kissing? Were they both drunk? I guess we’ll find out in the next episode based on the preview.

And was that random guy at the disco Top’s drug dealer? He really seemed like something more than just a past hookup. He said: “I take care of you well in an out of bed.” And that shot from the trailer of a pill bottle and scattered pills seemed meaningful to me. So I wonder – is Top an addict?

Top at first is presented as this hot, rich, confident guy who always gets what he wants. “When I take aim, I never miss” and stuff like that. And yet, Mew and Boston both easily do whatever they want with him. He seems very insecure under his smug playboy persona.

And yes, poor Nick, still, but also – is this his villain origin story? 😉 He looks very obsessed with Boston, in a stalkery way. He snooped though Boston’s phone before, and now he bugged Boston’s car. And I’m sure he has the recording, and he will use it in the future.

And Khao looked exceptionally beautiful in this episode. And his puppy dog eyes are a lethal weapon. No wonder Sand can’t say no to Ray. 😊

And let me say it again – Force and Neo look so hot together. I wouldn’t mind more of that, show, please and thank you. 😊
