Finally it’s less hot, yay! And it will be even less hot tomorrow, double yay!
Kdramas
I watched the 1st episode od Our Blues. Objectively I recognize that it’s a well written and very well acted drama, but I didn’t care for any of the characters, so I probably won’t watch more.
From upcoming kdrama I’m mainly interested in Adamas – the story of twin brothers who try to uncover the truth about a murder that happened 22 years ago. Ji Sung plays both twins, and I’m sure he will be wonderful. The teaser is here on youtube
BL dramas
Bad Buddy
I finished it yesterday. It felt like I was in a constant state of squee during watching. I alternated between laughing and going “aww, so adorable”.
Minor spoilers below.
And they really stuck the landing. There was no forced break-up to crate an unnecessary drama. And it was very realistic that the conflict between their family wasn’t neatly solved and everybody wasn’t suddenly best friends, just because Pat and Pran were now boyfriends. But, you know, things mellowed out, a little. And there is hope for more mellowing out in the future.
There were many good things in this drama, but one of the best was Pa/Ink – can I say adorable again, because they were so awesome and cute separately and as a couple. I can’t remember when I have two female characters in a BL drama that I loved so much as these two. Even having one female character in BL that I love is still rare – off the top of my head I can name Hong Ye in Trapped, and Yiwha from Together With Me, and Shi Lei’s mom from Be Loved in House.
KinnPorsche
Eight and a half episodes watched. I’m still pretty meh about it in general, apart from one character, whom I love a lot. Yes, of course it’s Vegas. :)
Spoilers behind the cut.
They soften Kinn too much for my liking. He’s a cruel and ruthless mafia boss! Oh no, maybe he’s not, he really loved his people, but the tragic circumstances forced him to be more cruel. He killed his boyfriend, because he was paranoid that the boyfriend was a traitor! Oh, no, he didn’t kill him. The boyfriend is alive and shady af, and obviously he really is a traitor.
And the third couple Kim/Porschay leaves me cold. And I find some of the humor pretty cringy.
But I will finish it for Vegas, who is my absolute favorite. Which is not surprising at all. I mean he’s hot, he’s a psychopath, he speaks English really well and throws random English sentences during conversations in Thai. He reminds me of Jang Han Seok from Vincenzo, and I loved Jang Han Seok. :)
And now have a few fanvid recs. I did some cleaning in my bookmarks, because they were getting too cluttered again.
