Jeff Satur’s new song – Steal The Show. It’s a collaboration with South Korean singer Shaun.


The trailer for Gun Atthaphan’s new drama Midnight Museum.

It’s a supernatural drama (not BL) about down on his luck barista Dome played by Gun, who receives the unexcepted job offer at the creepy museum that opens only after sunset.

I plan to watch it. It looks good and I’m sure that Gun will be excellent as always. It starts airing on March the 6th.


And I did start watching the Thai BL drama My School President. I’ve watched three episodes for now, and I laughed a lot and made a lot of aww noises. If you’re looking for a sweet and cute, and uncomplicated high school romance with a good script and great acting by two adorable leads, I already recommend it.

It's not really my taste in music but that Jeff Satur MV is really beautiful.

Also, the trailer for Midnight Museum look very, very RTMI so thanks for that.

I've cast an eye over My School President a few times but, in general at least, I steer clear of the high school set ones. You're making me think again with your review. :D

I'm excited for Midnight Museum, too. I just hope the drama will live up to the promises in that trailer.

As for high schools BLs - usually they need something more than just a romance between two high schoolers to entice me. But I'm so glad I started watching My School President. It's so earnest and heart-warming and sweet, and I like to watch shows like that when RL sucks. :)

In general, I need something more than romance to entice me in BLs in general. I want them to have something to do besides snog... but then I've never been a particular fan of romances anyway.

BUT... that also feeds into why I quite enjoy the short BLs that aren't much more than romances because they are often earnest, heart-wearming and sweet and like you say, that makes a lovely break from RL. :D

I'm like that with het romances. With m/m and f/f just romance still can be good enough for me. :)

As someone who usually writes shippy fan fic I always feel a bit ridiculous saying Romance (note capital 'R') is not in general my thing anyway, no matter the combination.

...but the brilliant thing about getting into watching BLs is how many of them do actually have a plot beyond the snogging.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's always for the best reasons in that I think part of it may be trying to avoid showing too much of the BL relationship on screen while still being able to market it as BL... but then I'm a cynic. Of course there are obvious exceptions to this like , HIStory3: Trapped, a personal favourite.

I do know I enjoy watching the short series/short run BL shows that are basically just the romance, much to my surprise, but I wonder how well I'd do with it in a longer format.

I try to 'never say never' to most things and as someone with a relatively recent exposure to BLs, who knows?
