It’s still too hot here. Today again it’s 35°C. I started going to the movies again, after four years pandemic break, only so I can spend a few hours in an air-conditioned building.

But thankfully I have a new beloved drama that cheers me up so much. Seriously, I am so in love, even though only two episodes aired for now. It’s such a silly little drama, but somehow it hits my id dead on.

It's an uncensored wuxia BL filmed in China with Chinese actors, but it’s a coproduction between China, Taiwan and Thailand. There are two new episodes every week. And it airs everywhere – on VIKI, Gaga, iQiyi, WeTV and Youtube.

Jin Xiaobao is a spoiled oldest son of a rich family. He’s a dumbass, but he’s also kind and sweet and earnest. I don’t really understand why am I so in love with him. He’s not my kind of character, and yet I fell hard. He’s just so adorable.

I love his love interest, too, of course. No surprises here because Zheng Huaien is like tailor-made for me. He’s mysterious, beautiful, aloof, has excellent fighting skills, and hides a tragic past and a childhood trauma. 😊

There are a few other supporting characters who are cute and/or funny, specially Xiaobao’s two guards. And apparently there will be two secondary couples. I hope I’ll like them, too.

I already re-watched the first two episodes. I even started writing my first fic. I never started writing a fic so early during the airing of the drama. Yes, I guess you can say I’m a tiny bit obsessed. 😉

This is something I really want to watch but I have a strong aversion to unfinished stories and I'm still worried the Chinese censors might still shut it down before all 12 episodes air, despite the coproduction.

I did notice MDL is listing it as a Thai production.

La la la, I can't hear you. Nobody is shutting my beloved drama down. ;) But more seriously - I get you. I watch this drama on VIKI, but still I instantly download each episode from other sources, just in case it will be deleted from the official streaming services for some reason. I remember when it happened with Guardian.

I have one fandom where I wrote my first drabble for it after watching the first episode(!) and then just kept going after every episode. Sometimes it just happens that way!

Heh, thanks. I've just finished watching the 3rd episode and now I have even more plot bunnies. But my first started fic is only like half-done. I wish I was a faster writer. As it is maybe I will finish at least one fic just as the drama will finish airing. :D

No, it's not mine, and yes, I saw it, and read it. :) I did start one fic, but I'm a slow writer so maybe I will finish it when the drama finishes its run.

I haven't started it yet (waaay to busy watching Lost You Forever s2), but I hope it'll stay widely available and I'll be able to watch it later.

I fell so hard. And with every new episode I fall even harder. :) I really hope it will stay available, because I want more people to watch it. I don't exactly want a mega fandom, but middle-sized one would be nice. :)
