I finished it today. It was ok and I liked it, but I definitely prefer stories about adults and not about high schoolers.

Minor spoilers with pics behind the cut.

The main couple is cute, but as I predicted I love the secondary couple so much more. They are step-brothers. Zhen Wu’s mother married Zhen Wen’s father when they were both 12 years old or around that age, if I understood correctly. I like the relationship dynamic like theirs – one person being the impulsive hothead and always getting into fights and the other person protecting them and calming them down. There is also quite a lot of angst, because they are both reluctant to admit their feelings at first considering their situation. But there is a happy end, of course. :)

I made a few screencaps because they are both so pretty and adorable.

The subtitled version is on youtube here and on VIKI here.

There isn’t much fanfic in English on AO3, but at least there’s more than one fic. :) So now I’m going to see if there’s something good to read.

I started this one and then got distracted by Nirvana in Fire, but will probably finish it eventually. I really liked History 3: Right or Wrong, though!! I think I liked it even more than Trapped.

Yep, me too. Probably in my case it's because high school is long, long in my past but I don't get too excited about high school series. Fics, on the other hand...

Hee. My friend simboo always prefers the secondary couples, too. I will never agree with her on that - nor with you, apparently. ;D

She doesn't post much (or anything, really), but she's very much into BL, so if you tell her I sent you, feel free to send her a PM and ask for BL recs. I'm guessing her taste might match yours (better than it does mine).

She's recced me a lot of stuff, too, but I only ever watched the Chinese ones. The one exception is "Love By Chance", which is Thai, and I ended up liking that, too.

She was the one who got me into Guardian, too, btw.
