The drama gets its own tag, because I love it and that won’t be the last post about it.
Spoilers below.
I admit I don’t pay much attention to the crimes, they usually bore me, but it gets a little bit more interesting in episode 5 when we find out that there is probably some criminal mastermind behind the last few crimes.
But the main trio is an unending source of joy. I love them all so much. Qin Ming has a tragic past, because of course he does. And I can’t wait to find out what it is. And his reaction to Li Da Bao’s tiny car was hilarious.
And I love that Lin Tao and Li Da Bao already have this lovely, relaxed relationship when they feel comfortable in each other presence and can joke and tease each other.
But the best scene for me in those 3 episodes is the one in episode 4, when they are in the latest victim’s apartment and Li Da Bao finds out that the victim had an extensive collection of sexy underwear. And then we have this talk:
Lin Tao: She’s quite the flirtatious virgin.
Li Da Bao: It’s wrong for you to say that. Wearing sexy underwear makes her flirtatious? Qin Ming wears a suit every day. Does that make him flirtatious?
Lin Tao (with a suggestive smile): A bit.
And then they high-five and grin at each other like dorks. And Qin Ming glares at them with his usual judgmental gaze because they are not working. :DDD

I've said before that the overall writing is awful, EXCEPT for the OT3 scenes where they are talking about each other or hanging out together. I wish the creators had the freedom to just do an OT3 rom-com and leave it at that, LOL!

I just think it's weird how GOOD the OT3 banter is, how fun and well written those scenes are, and how that falls apart when it comes to the crimes they are investigating, which are boring and boringly written. I do wonder if they had multiple writers focusing on different parts of it or if the writers just had very little experience writing crime dramas? So odd. :/
