It seems that this will by my first Yuletide where I won’t able to predict who my recip could be. All the fandoms I want to offer already have requests according to the sign-up summary on AO3, but there are no letters uploaded to the app for any of those fandoms.
And my fandoms are so small that even without gaming usually I can be pretty sure which recip I will get, if there are letters published of course. In Yuletide 2019, based on letters, there were two possible recips for me, and in Yuletide 2020 there were three, and both times I did get one of those.
And I still haven’t sign up myself, because I started watching another BL drama on Sunday, and after finishing the 1st episode I had an inkling that it probably would be my new fandom. So I wanted to finish it first, in case I would like to request it, too. And unless the last two episodes (which I plan to watch today) do something horrendous to change my mind, yes, it is my new fandom.
I will make a longer post with squee and pics later, and for now here’s a short info about my newest love. 😊
It’s the Thai BL drama Golden Blood. I saw the title when I was browsing list of Yuletide’s nominated TV shows and I got curious. It’s about a son of the mafia boss and his bodyguard, who of course fall in love with each other. They called Sky and Sun, and I find it so adorable. Sun, the bodyguard, is like tailor made for my id. You know me – give me someone, whose main trait is their unflinching loyalty and devotion, and I will fall in love. 😊
It has only 8 episodes, but each episode is 55 minutes long. It’s here on youtube with English subs, if someone maybe would like to check it out already .
Last but not least – I found one other thing while browsing Yuletide nominations. I wrote some time ago about F/F with reincarnation in the form of a short Chinese lipstick commercial. So it’s nominated for Yuletide, too (as “Florasis "Sapphic Lipstick" Commercial”), and guess what? There is a longer version – 3 minutes long. It’s here and it’s beautiful.
