The oracle has spoken. And by oracle I mean people who voted in my poll in the last post. :) So after I’m done with Fairyland Lovers (last episode will be watched today) I will start The Untamed. I admit that maybe a year ago I watched the 1st episode of MDZS donghua and I didn’t like it much. So I’m curious what will be my reaction to the drama.
And on Saturday I did watch the first two episodes of Because Of You 2020 on VIKI. And I love it already. It’s so OTT and soapy and fun. Main characters are all very pretty men and I like all three couples. It’s very short – just 10 episodes 15 minutes each. They air two episodes a week – on Friday and Saturday. There are English subs on VIKI the same days.
It’s about three sons of the super wealthy CEO of a powerful company. They each have a different mother. The oldest son Yuan Jun Cheng is half Korean and is played by the Korean actor. He mainly speaks Korean in the drama and it’s so amusing how everybody seems to understand him, even the people who appear to don’t know any Korean.
Each Yuan brother has a boyfriend. It seems to me that the two secondary couples are established already (though it’s possible that I misunderstood something), but Yuan Jun Cheng has a meet-cute with his soon to be boyfriend Lin Xun in the first episode – he’s running from the bad guys and he almost knocks Lin Xun over. Then he sort of bends Lin Xun over his motorcycle, all in slow motion of course, and gazes deeply and meaningfully into his eyes. It’s adorable. Here, see for yourself behind the cut, I made a gif.
And here are the main characters profiles in stebeee’s tumblr post. So, yeah, this is my new fandom probably. :)
But this drama is so short that I spent half an hour on Saturday watching trailers for upcoming BL dramas on youtube. And it’s surprisingly hard to find one that doesn’t take place in high school or at the university. I found one that looks interesting – A Tale Of Thousand Stars. It’s about a teacher and a soldier. Here’s the trailer. I hope it will be subbed somewhere.

I watched the first episode of Because of You, but it was a little too over the top for me. I can see the first (new, unestablished) couple, but then I'm always more about first times than established relationship, so that makes sense. I'll surely watch the rest at some point, once I have more time.
(Did you watch Like Love and Love by Chance yet? The latter is especially cute.)

Like Love is also school-ish, more University but still not really adults.
I'm all for not-in-school settings, myself!
