Today I watched Korean dramas with “Mister” in the title 😊

I have only two last episodes of Mr. Sunshine left, but I wanted to take a little break from all the angst. Especially since I know that there will be no happy end. Not because of spoilers, but because of history. The drama takes place in the beginning of 20th century when Joseon fights for its independence. And I know that this fight ends with the Japanese occupation of Korea for 35 years. Even if there is a happy ending for at least some of the characters (probably not), there is no happy ending for the country.

So I decided to start watching Mr. Heart, which is a second Korean BL drama on VIKI. And I’m very glad I did, because it’s adorable.

The two main characters are cute and pretty, and have nice chemistry. Jin Won is serious, moody, a bit closed off and concentrated only on marathon running. He was a record breaking marathon runner in high school, but now he’s at the university and he finds himself struggling to maintain his record-breaking form. His couch arranges another student’s help as Jin Won’s pacemaker. Sang Ha is the opposite of Jin Won. He’s optimistic and cheerful and stubborn. Of course, despite Jin Won’s initial dislike, they fall in love. 😊

The drama has 8 episodes, each episode is 10 minutes long. There are already 3 episodes with English subtitles on VIKI for people with Standard Pass here.

(When I read your title, I thought you might have tried My Mister (on Netflix), which is wonderful, like, just really really good quality stuff, but... not exactly cheerful for most of it. :-)

Heh, I get it. Three new episodes with English subtitles appeared on Friday. It’s just 30 minutes in total and I still haven’t found time to watch them. 😊
