What I want to watch (and surprisingly it’s not only Nam Goong Min’s dramas)

That was a hard week at work, I’m glad it’s finally over. Thankfully I had Beautiful Gong Shim to cheer me up in the evenings. I’m almost finished, I have three last episodes to watch.

And my to watch list is wall to wall Nam Goong Min’s dramas. It looks like this:

The Girl Who Sees Smells

Falsify

My Secret Hotel - I didn’t plan to watch this drama, but then I saw these gifs on tumblr and yeah... Mmmm, yeah... Wait, what was I saying? I’m sorry, but Nam Goong Min’s perfect abs are very distracting. 😊

The Undateables - I’m torn about this one. Reviews almost universally say it’s bad, but I’m so in love I’m willing to try it anyway. 😊

And of course his newest crime drama Awaken, which will be available on VIKI, yay!


But I want to watch a few other things as well.

The Crown – the 4th season is on Netflix, and it’s about Diana and Gillian Anderson’s Margaret Thatcher. I plan to watch at least the first episode this weekend.


Craving You – it’s a Taiwanese BL drama about the adults, and not high-schoolers, of course I’m watching it. 😊 It’s about a pastry chef and an internet celebrity singer. I watched the first two episodes yesterday and I like it. And the main actors are both handsome and have nice chemistry.

It’s on VIKI here, but only the first episode is available for people without Standard Pass.


The Silent Criminal – a Chinese wuxia drama. I noticed it on VIKI’s coming soon list because of that pic:

I mean, don’t they look as if they’re about to kiss? 😊

And then I watched the trailer and it’s very slashy and looks entertaining. And it’s only 13 episodes long. It will be available on VIKI here.

Oh, that looks interesting! And 13 episodes is manageable ...

The small number of episodes was a selling point for me, too. If it were 40 or 50 episodes I would say pass, but 13 - you will be done in two weeks at most. :)

Your being so into Nam Goong Min has made me consider revisiting Can You Hear My Heart, which is a 30-episode family saga, in which the leading man is deaf. Nam Goong Min plays the second lead (it's very OT3-ish if you don't mind adopted sibling incest pairings). The first time I watched, some years ago, I had no idea who he was and didn't pay much attention to him, so it would be quite different now, with a post-Chief Kim mindset. :-)

I've read about Can You Hear My Heart and seen a few clips and it looks very cute, and I'd like to watch it one day. But VIKI doesn't let me. ;) I mean, it's no available in my region. I'll look later for another source. I found out for instance that one of the Korean networks SBS has a lot of their dramas available officially on youtube with English subtitles.

Ooh nice, I hadn't heard about Craving You before! I will check that out. Taiwanese BL and not set in school? I'm in!

Heh, yes, these were my thoughts exactly when first read about this drama in the summer. It's not about high school? Count me in. :)
