Finally, real winter. There is snow and a lot of it. There is temperature below zero, today -14°C. I wouldn’t want it to be so cold for long, but a week or two are fine.
I’m very tired, work is super busy and I barely have the energy to watch some dramas in the evenings. I didn’t sign up for Chocolate Box because of that. A treat or two might be happening but only if work slows down a bit, and it probably won’t happen until February.
Speaking of drama watching – I’m almost done with Start-Up, I only have one last episode to watch. After a great beginning it started to disappoint me around episode 6 and I continued watching only for Kim Seon Ho as Han Ji Pyeong. And IMO it was worth it, because he’s fantastic.
And two weeks ago I started watching My Roommate is a Detective and I’m up to episode 26 already. I like it a lot and it’s perfect for relaxing after a long day of hard work. It’s a historical Chinese crime drama that takes place in the mid-1920s in Shanghai. It’s charming and funny with very nice slashy subtext. And there are fics on AO3 so I will have something to read when I’m finished with it. And when I’m less tired I will make a proper post about it with squee and pics and gifs. :)
Last but not least – Happy Birthday to me. I’m 50 years old, people. My, how time flies. :D

Yes, I am loving the snow and cold right now, too. If just the roads were clear and less icy, that would be better. Eek.
The cdrama sounds neat! How does it compare to Sleuth of Ming Dynasty? Or Detective L?

As for My Roommate is a Detective – Sleuth of Ming Dynasty and Detective L are both much better IMO. I wrote this post after watching episode 26 and I have to say the last 10 episodes (the drama has 36 episodes and I finished watching it yesterday) rather disappointed me. Main reason for that was that out of the three main characters I really loved one, sometimes liked, but mostly tolerated the second one, and was completely disinterested in the third one. And the last 10 episodes concentrated on the two I liked less. It is an enjoyable and mostly fluffy drama and I had fun watching it. But I’m not fannish about it and I’m not interested in re-watch or reading reviews or stuff like that.
