My second Thai BL drama. I have mixed feelings about this one. I was very into the main couple and completely uninterested in everything else. I didn’t care for any of the secondary characters apart from Yiwha – Korn and Knock’s friend. She’s loud and annoying sometimes, but she’s a good person and a good friend.
The plot is pretty simple - Korn and Knock are childhood friends. They got separated when Knock’s family moved away. They reconnect as students at the same university and instantly go back to being best friends again.
They get drunk one night and have passionate sex (this is the first scene of the 1st episode). After that Korn, who’s clearly already in love with Knock, would like them to be boyfriends, but Knock panics, all “I’m not gay, it was a mistake, let’s forget about it.” Later Korn and a viewer find out at the same time that Knock has a girlfriend. Yes, Knock cheated on his girlfriend. Then he treated Korn horribly. Then he started maybe having “more than friends” feelings for Korn, and then he had sex with Korn for the second time. All this while still dating his girlfriend Pleng and lying to her. But that’s ok, you see. Because she’s a manipulative, jealous and evil harpy, who doesn’t even love Knock, she just wants to teach him a lesson. And this is presented as a big twist in the middle of the drama. *sigh* This is such a tired stereotype and it lowered my opinion about the drama a lot.
Of course, after plenty of angst and complications there is a happy ending. The villainous girlfriend is punished, Knock apologizes, Korn forgives him and the boys get together. Well, my opinion is that Korn is a sweetheart and Knock is a selfish jerk who doesn’t deserve him. :) But Max and Tul have amazing chemistry, their kisses and sex scenes are scorching hot, and they are so comfortable with each other, and look so believably in love. Max is very good at looking at Tul with adoration and love in his eyes, and Tul has a lot of effortless charm, so I still got invested in their relationship and wanted them to be happy. I admit there was squee and making heart-eyes at the screen. But I also spent a lot of time judging Knock and repeating “Do the right thing, Knock, stop lying to your girlfriend and break up with her.” :)
Despite my mixed feelings I still want to watch the other two dramas Max and Tul did together - Bad Romance (which is chronologically the next, but was made first, Together With Me is a prequel) and Together With Me: The Next Chapter. The pleasure of watching Max and Tul being in love and kiss a lot and have a lot of adorable fluffy domestic scenes is enough to make up for eventual screenplay weaknesses and uninteresting secondary subplots. Also Yiwha has a main part in Bad Romance and Together With Me: The Next Chapter, too. And I like her, so that is an additional incentive.

Honestly I dipped out of Bad Romance, despite Max and Tul who are as you say SO lovely and hot and wonderful together. Look forward to your thoughts on that one.
