The Rebel episode 38

I’ve just finished it and damn... That was intense 45 minutes.

Major spoilers below

That scene between Chen Moqun and Lin Nansheng was fantastic. After it ended I instantly re-watched it. When Chen Moqun says “You didn’t let me down” with his dying breath and later Nin Nansheng closes his eyes... That was so angsty and so good. I expected Chen Moqun to die (because what else could the drama do with him after everything he did) but still I yelled “Noooo!!!” at the screen.

I haven’t managed to recover from that yet, when the drama stomped on my heart again. Poor Lan Xinjie... That last scene between her and Lin Nansheng made me teary-eyed.

And now I have to find something sweet and fluffy to watch to cheer myself up. :)

I need to go back and rewatch Chen Moqun's death so I can kind of absorb it properly, because I was so immediately horrified by Zi Lu's death that CMQ's hasn't really sunk in. I just wanted Zi Lu and Lan Xinjie to have a nice life together :(((((

Me, too. I love Lan Xinjie, she's such a great character, and I wanted her to be happy.

That scene between Chen Moqun and Lin Nansheng was fantastic.

It was so intense! Amazing scene. Lin Nansheng has to be shaken up, but I love how he collects himself before he faces Wang Shian and the others.

So did I. :( As soon as he made his choice in episode 20, I knew he'd have to die. He lived longer than I expected him, too, at least... ;__;

Poor Lan Xinjie... That last scene between her and Lin Nansheng made me teary-eyed.

Same for me. I'm loving Lan Xinjie even more on rewatch. The relationship between her and Lin Nansheng is so interesting.

Oh yes, I was so happy that he lasted as long as he did, since he's my favorite in this drama. :)
