I saw it today, finally. It was amazing. It’s a power fantasy, yes. But it’s a power fantasy that really, really worked for me.

A few short thoughts with minor spoilers behind the cut

That last fight with Yon-Rogg when she says “I have nothing to prove to you” - I loved it. I would have pumped the air if I wasn’t at the movies. :)

Maria and Monica Rambeau were awesome.

And of course Goose was adorable and hilarious.

I did pump the air! Just got back, had a great time. There was no (male) love interest, therefor I am happy.

Yes, the "no obligatory romance with a guy" part was also one of the reasons I loved this movie so much. It was so refreshing. :)
