In RL things are a bit better, so let’s talk about good fannish things.
I finished the first draft of my ‘give Do Han from Wedding Impossible a happy love life’ fic. Yay! Now a lot of editing needs to be done, but still yay, it’s finished. 😊
I posted my second Bump Up Business fic.

Eden’s other hand slides from Jihoon’s shoulder to the small of his back, the skin so warm and slick under Eden’s fingers. Jihoon has been fucking him for a while now. He’s panting a little, his body taut and sweaty above Eden, but he doesn’t show signs of slowing down any time soon. And Eden is desperate for release. He's hard and throbbing between their bodies, rubbing against Jihoon’s flat stomach with every shift of their bodies rocking together on the bed.
As for drama watching I re-watched the 1st episode of At 25:00 in Akasaka. Yep, love it a lot. And there are two more dramas I want to squee about.
Deep Night
It’s a Thai BL drama about the son of the host club owner falling in love with one of the hosts. I linked to the trailer in February and have been watching it since the 1st episode every week as it airs. It’s a short drama, seven episodes aired for now, there is one episode left.
I like it a lot. The script isn’t the best, but it’s very cute and very sexy. There is some angst and conflict, but nothing over the top. The main couple Khem/Wela is very sweet and supportive of each other. There is no annoying miscommunication, and there was no stupid last minute break-up in the second to last episode.
And there is a lovely background f/f couple with two older women – Khem’s mom and her loyal friend.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers
I finished watching it a week ago. After the initial hesitance I enjoyed this drama immensely. It’s so weird, but also very funny, and deep when it needs to be. I don’t think I will ever re-watch it, it’s a bit too weird for me, so once was enough. But I will definitely re-watch my favorite Sonoi & Taro scenes.
Taro is the main protagonist and the leader of Donbrothers. Sonoi is one of the three former main antagonists (they have a change of heart during the course of the drama and join the heroes in the end). And Sonoi/Taro is my newest non-canon m/m pairing love.
But well, about that ‘non-canon’ thing... 😊 More about that with squee and pics, and links below behind the cut.
But first let me tell you this - I read many reviews after I finished watching the drama, and in approximately 90% of them a reviewer said about Taro and Sonoi something like “yeah, they’re boyfriends.” I even wrote down a quote from one fan review on tumblr, because it’s so true: sonoi/taro are such heroes for getting even hardcore tokubros to universally go "yeah they're gay". 😊
But Sonoi/Taro pairing is really on another level. I would even say that Toshiki Inoue (the screenwriter) did everything he could to convince viewers that these two want each other desperately and are very much in love (especially everything in episode 41), without using those exact words.
I started to write down timestamps of my favorite Sonoi & Taro scenes during watching, starting with episode 8, because they really were that obvious about their mutual crush even this early in the drama. Basically they met and sparks flew instantly.
Their joint character song is a love duet. And yes, it really is a love song, it’s not really ‘my slash goggles are too tight’ case. See and hear for yourself here. This is the version with English subs. I mean - “So will you take my hand or will you stay silent?” are the actual lyrics in this song.
And TPTB definitely knew what they were doing. Take a look at this Sonoi and Taro’s photo from the official photo book:

Of course it helps immensely that Higuchi Kouhei (Taro) and Tominaga Yuya (Sonoi) have explosive chemistry. And continuing toku to BL pipeline Tominaga Yuya will be in the new season of The Man Who Defies The World of BL.
I just wish there was more fanfic. I kinda want to write a fic myself.

From my limited knowledge (I only watched three toku dramas, but I read a little about the genre in general, and about other dramas) these dramas often are very slashy. And I can confirm that both Kamen Rider Build and Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger were indeed very slashy.But Sonoi/Taro pairing is really on another level.
