I finished the first draft of my Yuletide fic. It needs more work, of course, but still the first main step is done. Yay!


There is a new The Witcher book, a prequel about young Geralt this time. Well, I’m assuming it’s a good thing since reviews are rather positive. I’m not really in the mood to read it now, but maybe I’ll buy it for reading during Christmas. 😊


Dramas are always a good things, too. I started watching Fangs of Fortune, and I can’t believe how gorgeous this drama is. The pure aesthetic pleasure I feel when I watch it is something I very rarely feel while watching dramas. I watched 6 episodes for now and I love it so much. Everyone and everything is beautiful. And there is so much shipping potential, m/m and f/f, and m/m/f. And there is already a decent amount of fanfic on AO3, so hopefully I will have something to read after I watched all of it.

But it seems this is the kind of drama I will need cheering up after. Listen, I’m not ashamed to admit that episode 6 made me cry a little bit. I needed to watch something fluffy asap, so I decided to check Rented in Finland, that Korean variety show I mentioned here before. The first episode aired two days ago. And it worked for cheering up very well, because it is cute and amusing. And wow, the scenery... Lapland is beautiful.

I think officially Rented in Finland is only on Viu with English subs, also it’s not available in some countries, so if you want to watch it you might need to find another way.

Oh, good to know. I was disappointed with Sezon Burz, so I was a bit apprehensive about a new book. And I'm interested in your opinion, too, if you'll feel like sharing it later. :)

I really liked it; both for the young Geralt who made a lot of sense still and felt like the original books, and also because Sapkowski really made it very obvious he's pro-choice. (Not as if it was not obvious in the saga, but I feel like a lot of right-wingers tried to coopt the Witcher...)

Lots of people are into Fangs of Fortune. It's one of the rare decently sized (for our expectations of being alone in a fandom) cdrama fandoms.

Exactly, I was so pleasantly surprised when I checked AO3 after watching the 1st episode. Finally - a fandom with almost 200 fics, and not just 10 or 20. :D

Heh, I watched Rented in Finland somewhere else, too. Even if I wanted to pay for VIU subscription dramas there are not available in my country. So... :)
