I watched a lot of dramas lately. Because as soon as I decided to take three days off work to just relax a little at home my body said “hmm, I think it’s time for another dosage of pain in the right shoulder”. *sigh* So writing was out of the question, and scrolling a lot, too. Thankfully it’s much better today, that’s why I’m able to write this post. :)

So here is what I watched since my last post.

Triage

I recklessly watched all 10 available episodes. :) Recklessly because now I’m dying from impatience waiting for the last three episodes to air. Because I love it. It reminds me of Manner of Death and Not Me – there is the main plot, here about the shady medical practices and mysterious deaths, and with a time loop, and the romance is secondary to all that. There are two couples – the main couple is ok, I like them just fine, but I adore the secondary couple, despite them having only a few short scenes. I hope we’ll get at least a confession of feelings for them. But a kiss would be very nice, too. :)

I would love for more people to watch it and squee with me, but unfortunately I can’t link to the official source for this drama. They do this thing when each new episode is available for the international audience on Youtube only for two hours on Monday between 11pm -1am Bangkok Time. It’s in the evening for me so I was able to download all the available episodes as soon as they appeared each Monday, because I knew I would like to watch it one day. But it means that right now this drama it’s not easily available with English subs anywhere.

Theory of Love

Yes, I decided to watch it after all. And I did watch all of it despite not really liking it that much. That’s the power of Gun’s acting I guess. :) He was as always wonderful and beautiful and I am still very much in love with him. And I did enjoy the 1st episode a lot. And all that gave me the motivation to finish this drama.

Plus and Minus

Królowa

I also watched a new Polish show on Netflix – Królowa (Queen) with Andrzej Seweryn as the main character. He plays Silvestre Bork, who lives in Paris, and who is an exclusive and expensive tailor by day, and a beloved drag queen Loretta by night. But before he came to France 50 years ago he was called Sylwester Borkowski and he lived in a small Polish mining town. Now Silvestre Bork wants to close his tailoring business and retire, but an unexpected letter from Poland from the granddaughter he didn’t even know he had makes him change his plans, and return to that small town he left so many years ago.

It’s decently written and very well acted. But I mostly liked it because it’s such an optimistic and heartwarming story about people being generally good and doing the right thing. Especially because there was the Pride Parade in Warsaw yesterday, and I was avoiding the news all day. Really not in the mood for a lot of good old Polish homophobia. I’ll take this nice little fantasy about small Polish town being super accepting and tolerant instead, please and thank you. :)
