Cutie Pie
Ah, my perfect mind candy, so ridiculous and so entertaining. There was of course completely unnecessary last minute drama in the next to last episode to delay the inevitable happy ending. But I don’t care, I enjoy it so much. The actors are all very pretty, kisses and sex scenes are scorching hot, and all very consensual, which is nice to see in a BL drama.
There isn’t much fanfic and there’s even less that I find readable. So yeah, I started reading RPF, too, not that there’s much RPF for this fandom either.
I’m still kinda boggling that I got so invested in this silly, tropey and not very well written drama. Usually I’m pretty good at predicting what could be my next fandom. Here I was completely taken by surprise. :)
Not Me
I watched two more episodes of Not Me, and I’m more invested now that I was after the first two episodes, but I don’t think I will get fannish about this drama. And this one is good. But I admit that I have to suspend my disbelief a little, because White is so completely unprepared for pretending to be his twin in front of Black’s friends. I watched just four episodes and there were already a few situations when someone says to White “remember what you told us about?” And White is all “?????” and eventually someone else will always conveniently repeat what Black said, and White will be saved. I get that even if they think that Black is behaving weirdly they won’t jump straight to “it’s not Black, it’s his secret twin” conclusion, but still it bothers me a bit that White gets away with it so easily. But not enough to stop watching for now.
And when I’m done with Not Me I think I will start KinnPorsche. It looks exactly like another tropey fun I will enjoy and maybe even get fannish about.
Plus and Minus
I like this drama so much. And again I’m a bit sorry that I started watching it before all the episodes aired. Because now after watching one 25 minutes long episode I have to wait a week for the next one. Oh the misery… ;) And I loved the 5th episode so much. I already watched it twice. The main couple is still in the “pining on one side and obliviousness on the other side” stage, but the secondary couple moves with the speed of light, so to speak. :) There was already acknowledging of mutual feelings.
And there was a wonderful cameo at the end of the last episode.
More with spoilers below.
Our main characters are both lawyers working at the same law firm, and at the end of episode 5 Aaron Lai and Hank Wang who played the main couple in Be Loved in House: I Do appeared in that law firm as a couple wanting to divorce. I don’t know if they are supposed to be the same characters as in be Loved in House, and if so – oh no, I don’t want Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei to break up. But still it was great to see them. I almost instantly started a re-watch of Be Loved in House, for the pleasure of watching them fall in love again. :)
Triage
It’s a new Thai medical BL drama with a time loop. And apparently I have to start watching it. ;) It’s adapted from the web novel by the same author who wrote Manner of Death. I’ve read that both books are set in the same medical universe. And guess what? Max and Tul had a cameo as Tan and Bun in the 4th episode. Yay! Unfortunately that drama isn’t available anywhere officially with English subs, so I have to look for unofficial sources.

Omg that's a genre combination I hadn't heard before. :DD It goes on my list.
I've managed to bounce off of Plus Minus so far (watched half an ep, got bored, stopped). I need more than that for any show to hook me, so I'll try again. I wasn't really in the mood for BL all month. Maybe waiting until they've all aired is not a bad idea.
And when I’m done with Not Me I think I will start KinnPorsche.
I actually really like it so far. I think they're doing a great job making it a lot less problematic and non-con than the novel. It's weird to see what that's doing to the (non-con loving) fandom, but so far it seems to be working out fine. I personally don't like the slapstick-y parts, but the rest is really good.

Heh, yes, that caught my attention, too. For now I only watched Max and Tul's cameo, but I do plan to check at least the first two episodes.
And I like Plus and Minus a lot, but it is very low stakes drama. Which is one of the reasons I like it so much, but yes, not much is happening apart from relationship stuff for both couples.
