This week was not so bad. Health-wise it was better than the previous two. I still think that most of my annoying and tiring symptoms now are because of menopause, but it doesn’t hurt to check if it’s maybe something else. So April will be the month of doctor visits for me.

Fandom-wise this week was great. I finished my first Perfect 10 Liners fic for Arc/Arm pairing and sent it for beta-reading. I posted my second Klao/Warich fic.

The look in Warich’s big, beautiful eyes is tempting, inviting. There is only one response to that invitation and Klao is happy to give it.

And my new beloveds Aou and Boom will be in Only Friends Dream On. In main roles because they are replacing Ohm and Leng. I’m still so in love with them. I watched Vice Versa just for them, but I enjoyed it in general much more than I thought I would. At first I assumed that I would just watched Aou and Boom’s scenes and fast-forward through the rest, but I like Jimmy and Sea, who are leads in this drama, and I found myself watching and liking most of their scenes, too, because they are good actors with nice chemistry and very nice kissing. 😊 Even though the main plot didn’t really interest me, and I’m still not sure what was the explanation for all this world hopping they did, since I didn’t really pay much attention during the not couply scenes. 😊

Oh, one more thing. That homoerotic Dracula ballet with Wojciech Kilar’s music I mentioned once before is now officially available on National Theatre’s Youtube channel. So if you want to watch it you can do it here. I really recommend it – Kilar’s music is beautiful, choreography is wonderful, and the dancers are fantastic (especially Mina’s dancer).

Let’s start with a trailer.

Love Like A Bike

It’s the official pilot trailer for a new Thai BL. It has Pattaya, cycling, lots of melodrama and three pretty couple. And two familiar faces amongst actors: Ta Nakun and Tee Thanapon (Tol from Triage). And it’s directed by Golf Tanwarin. I’m definitely interested.

And a ballet rec is for Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. I love that ballet so much. I love the version with the traditional Petipa and Ivanov’s choreography a lot, too. But I love Matthew Bourne’s reimagining and choreography even more.

First I want to rec a wonderful, short vid on Youtube with comments by Matthew Bourne, Adam Cooper (the original Swan) and Harrison Dowzell (the next generation Swan).

Becoming the Swan in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake

And someone put 2019 version on Youtube, too, in a very good quality. It's here. I don’t know how long it will be there. But if you wanted to watch it for now you can.

Petrichor

I watched six episodes for now, still haven’t got the time to watch the 7th episode yet.

I like it a lot. Engfa and Charlotte are both great here (I tried watching Love Bully last year since I was curious about them, but managed only one episode because I found it boring). And of course they are both gorgeous women and have wonderful chemistry. I am mildly interested in the ‘who’s the real killer’ plot, but that’s not the main draw for me. The romance between the leads is, and a warm and loving relationship between Tun and her older brother Tin. And the cute secondary F/F couple. And of course it’s always so nice to see Max Nattapol on my screen again, even if here it’s in a relatively small secondary part.

Love Scout episodes 3-4

I loved it. These two episodes were very good, too. I really hope the drama keeps up being this good for the remaining eight episodes.

Spoilers here.I have two ‘sigh, why’ quibbles. And one of them is about the drama introducing the second love triangle. Especially since it seems to me that our second leads will probably end up together. We found out that they both lost a sibling, so I fell like they will probably bond over that and then start having romantic feelings for each other.

And of course our main leads have a childhood connection, of course they have. I mean, it’s not confirmed yet in the drama, there were only hints for now, but I’m sure of it. It is a kdrama after all. I just really hope it won’t be used for unnecessary drama and last minute breakup since it’s connected to a big tragedy for both of them.

But they are really just quibbles and all the other things were so, so good in these episodes. Our lovely main romance, both main leads being such wonderful, fascinating characters, all the different relationships in this drama, not just romantic ones. Like for instance Seo Mi Aae and her husband's relationship. I loved that scene when her husband came to pick her up after company dinner and he knew she would be drunk so he brought crocs for her to change from her elegant shoes. Aww...

Ossan’s Love Thailand episode 2

Ok, the drama gets its own tag here. Because I loved that 2nd episodes even more than the first. It was sweet, funny, and adorable, and I laughed so much. And made a lot of aww noises at my laptop, too. This drama is surprisingly touching sometimes amongst all the comedy.

Spoilers here, too.Heng is such a sweet and kind dork. And you know, he looks like Earth. No wonder that those two guys fell so hard for him. 😊

And I think that Heng already starts to feel a stirring of something more than friendship for Mo, even though of course he doesn’t recognize it for what it is. And for now he’s only determined to win Mo’s friendship back.

And earlier I forgot to mention that Thor is in this drama, too. And looking absolutely gorgeous as a star employee at Heng’s company.

And of course I loved First and Khaotung’s cameo as Alan and Gaipa... I mean, excuse me - Alone and Gaitong 😉 They are a couple here, too, and with backstory of First and Khaotung’s characters from Moonlight Chicken. And everything about that was hilarious. “His mother was my insurance client.” And then making fun of Gaipa singing at his mother’s funeral. LOL

But now I want other BL pairings to have cameos as couples inspired by their characters in previous dramas. Heh...

Sunset x Vibes episode 2

OMG, I am so in love. 😍

Spoilers here.I have to say I did expect this drama to have more heat right from the beginning. But only because I remembered the 1st episode of Big Dragon, and the pilot trailer and the official trailer were rather misleading, too, suggesting that Lin and Sun’s relationship started with a one night stand. But I am absolutely not complaining. Because that was such an adorable, sweet, but still sexy episode.

I love Lin, he’s a sweet, naïve and oblivious dork. And I love Sun, who’s also a sweet dork, just rich and a bit awkward. And heh, every time they mention Sun’s age (he’s around 30 years old) I remember that Mos is 22 years old bebe. But damn he looks hot, they both look hot and gorgeous, and their chemistry is explosive.

Also – service top Sun, anyone? That man loves to get on his knees for Lin. 😉

And YAY!!! JJ and Fong are a couple already in this drama. And I love Juldis and Chan so much. They make me squee. And they make me laugh with how completely unsubtle they are about their supposedly secret relationship. I mean, mainly Juldis, he is the least subtle person on this planet. Chan is much better at this ‘keeping our relationship a secret’ thing.

And now it seems Sun and Lin will keep their relationship a secret, too. I wonder how will that go. 😊

The second thing is this - if I knew that a ballet about Dracula with Wojciech Kilar’s music staged in Opera Narodowa in Warsaw had a homoerotic tango between Dracula and Jonathan Harker, I would go to see it sooner.

You can see it here. It’s Opera Narodowa’s official Instagram account.

And now I’m disappointed, because I missed the last performance for this season before the summer break. I’ll try to get a ticket for September. It could be hard though, because there are only two performances then.

The revival of Matthew Bourne's The Car Man is on youtube here. I love this ballet, I have it on DVD with the original cast, but I watched this new version yesterday with great pleasure.

I love Matthew Bourne’s choreography. I saw six of his ballets: Swan Lake (the first one I saw and still my favorite), The Car Man, Nutcracker, Play Without Words (based on the Joseph Losey’s movie The Servant), The Sleeping Beauty and Dorian Gray. Nutcracker was pretty meh for me, but I loved the rest. And I had the pleasure of watching Play Without Words and Dorian Gray on stage in Sadler’s Wells Theater in London. I wish both of those ballets were available on DVD, too. I’d love to watch them again.

The music in The Car Man is a combination of the Bolshoi Ballet version of Georges Bizet's opera Carmen, with additional music by composer Terry Davies. All this ballet have in common with Carmen is around 40 minutes of Bizet’s music. The plot is completely different and inspired by The Postman Always Rings Twice. It’s a noir story about lust and murder, and betrayal, with beautiful and sensuous dancing. It’s a story of a drifter Luca who arrives in a small town somewhere in the USA and gets hired as a mechanic by the owner of the Dino’s Garage. He seduces both Lana, the wife of the owner, and the young man Angelo, who works there as a hired help. Of course it leads to drama and tragedy.

And I saw that The Car Man had been nominated for Multifandom Drabble Exchange. I hope someone will request this fandom. I’m not up to signing up for exchanges just yet, but treating is something I could do. 😊

ETA: I forgot to say that it’s available on youtube only for a week starting from 16th, so tomorrow is the last day. If you’d like to watch it you have to hurry or download it for later. 😊
