Ossan’s Love ended on Monday, my beloved Perfect 10 Liners will end next Sunday. I would love to have new GMMTV BL to watch, but neither My Golden Blood nor Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist work for me. I don’t like Gawin at all in MGB. And him and Joss have no chemistry IMO. Pity, I wanted to have cheesy vampire BL to watch. And I watched only half an episode of Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist and found its humor too cringy.

Of course I do have a to-watch list with many other BL dramas on it. But you know that mood when you have too many new shows you want to start so you’re just doing that ‘eh, choosing something new is hard, I’ll just re-watch something I already know instead’ thing? It’s me right now. So instead of choosing one of the dramas from my very, very long to-watch list I started another re-watch of My Personal Weatherman. 😊

Perfect 10 Liners

Episode 21 was good, episode 22 was amazing.

Squee with spoilers here. They made me laugh, and they made my heart ache for Faifa. And I didn’t even want to fast-forward through the completely unnecessary song. Junior is not bad at singing. And he is an excellent actor. I’m in awe. 😊

And wow, I adored that lovely rooftop confession scene in ep 22. It was perfect. Emotional love confessions from both sides, passionate kisses, and then that interruption by the rest of the main gang. It was great, it made me laugh out loud, and it didn’t IMO take anything from Faifa and Wine’s getting together.

Oh right, I almost forgot that there was one scene that I was a bit :/ about. I’m talking about the scene with Faifa and Yotha’s horrible mother. But by now I’m used to Asian dramas doing that thing where a child forgives a horrible parent even if that parent never apologized or did anything to make up for all the horrible things they did.

But let’s not talk about that. Let’s talk about Faifa and Wine being a proper couple, so the three main couples are all official now. So only fluff and humor and sweetness in the next two eps, right? Please, show, I need this. 😊

And there was a talk about engagement in the next ep’s teaser. I wondered who’s getting married. Probably Jet and Pun. I saw rumors that it might be Klao and Warich based on one BTS vid where Warich had an engagement ring on his finger. I don’t dare to hope. But yes, I will die and go to heaven if that happens. 😉

Ossan’s Love Thailand

Episodes 11 and 12 were very disappointing. Especially the last ep.

One spoiler here.Seriously, show? Amnesia? *sigh*

I fast-forwarded a lot during the last episode. Ah well, at least I had fun watching the previous ten episodes, and it was wonderful seeing Earth in such a typical comedic role. He was great. And it was so nice to see Thor, too, even if in a small secondary part. He looked so gorgeous in glasses.

RL sucks health-wise. Menopause is a bitch, and there are a few other annoying health problems I have to deal with at the same time. Ugh...

But fannish life is good. I wrote my second Klao/Warich fic and sent it for beta-reading. And I started a third fic. And of course I can always count on fluffy dramas to cheer me up and on not so fluffy dramas to make me think about something else than RL problems.

Call Me By No-Name

That was so good, but so dark. These last two episodes... Damn... They were very dark and depressing. I had to take a break for a few days after watching episode 7. But the ending healed me, it was such a touching and beautiful happy end.

Detailed content warning.A mother sexually abuses her daughter.

There is one vague flashback scene when Kotoha looks like she’s maybe 12-13 years old. And that scene, despite vagueness, was still very hard to watch. And Kotoha tells Megumi that her mother abused both her and her older brother, and that she was convicted only for sexually abusing Kotoha’s brother because he was a boy, and the law didn’t recognize Kotoha’s abuse, because her mother and her were the same gender.

More with spoilers here.Kotoha thinks she doesn’t deserve love, that she’s dirty, that she’s fundamentally unlovable. She went through hell in childhood, but she isn’t a perfect victim. She’s cold and abrasive, she’s often rude and nasty, she tramples all over Megumi’s feelings. And her trauma is absolutely no excuse for her behavior, and the drama knows it.

I love Kotoha so much with all her sharp edges and her bad behavior, and her lashing out to make people hate her, because she doesn’t believe that she’s worthy of being loved.

And Megumi is not perfect, too. She’s not some selfless angel saving Kotoha from herself. She has her own sharp edges, too, and complicated feelings about being selfless and saving someone due to events from her past.

And in the end they both choose to be together and work on their relationship. Even though it might hurt, even though it might be uncomfortable sometimes. But they also know that they love each other and that they make each other happy, and they want to have that happiness, even with potential hurt and terrible things they might face in the future. But they will face them together and that what matters to them.

Perfect 10 Liners episode 20

This is always my perfect comfort drama. I love it so much.

Spoilers here.Faifa and Wine are adorable. And Arm found his calling as a matchmaker. And Gun is his eager apprentice. They are the cutest when they are scheming to get Faifa and Wine together. 😊

Klao and Warich had just one short scene again, but it was wonderful. And wait, are they living together now? Because it sure looked like that. And it was so sweetly domestic with Warich admonishing Klao to behave on his first day of work. And aww, Klao talking about getting rich and asking for Warich’s hand in marriage. Now I really want to see that wedding. And if not in canon then at least in fanfic. 😊

Ossan’s Love Thailand episode 10

Really, show, did you have to? I’m a bit disappointed in you.

Spoilers, of course. So we had an obligatory 11 episode breakup at the end of episode 10. Also, wow, it was so unnecessary, so stupid, and it made Mo looked like a colossal jerk for lying to Heng’s mother despite Heng wanting to tell her the truth, and for dragging Chicha into this ridiculous charade.

But also – it gave us these funny scenes at the host club... I started smiling when Sadistic started playing while the hosts appeared. And then the hosts’ names made me laugh out loud. Also hi, Drake, nice to see you looking so fine. Also also - ThorDrake? Yes, please, I like it. 😊

My Golden Blood episode 1

It’s ridiculous and cheesy, but so entertaining. I will have so much fun watching it each Wednesday.

Spoilers here, too.The special effects are pretty bad. But who cares about that where there were so many amusing and wonderful things in that episode. Sexy blood drinking. Vampires with mind controlling powers and vampires with healing powers. Joss looking so gorgeous and sexy, and thank you for that swimming pool scene, show, really.

And I don’t care much for Gawin, and IMO he’s a bit too old to be playing a sweet and naïve 19 years old, but I don’t mind him here. He’s okay, even though I don’t really care for his character yet. But he does one thing very well, and it is looking at half-naked Joss with visible thirst in his eyes. Yep, Tong wanted Mark hard when he saw him coming out from that pool – all muscular and wet and hot as hell. 😊

And wow, Mark almost had an orgasm after just one drop of Tong’s blood. I can already imagine fun fanfic writers will have with that piece of canon’s vampire lore. 😊

And Mond is absolutely gorgeous and properly menacing as a villain. I love Nakan already so much. I wonder if there will be a pretty boy to ship him with.

This vid made me teary-eyed when I watched it yesterday.

The Wedding Of The Year: Beautiful, Meaningful and Historical LGBTQ Marriage | PorschArm The Wedding.

It’s so beautiful and touching and full of love between this couple that has been together for 17 years and finally can get married in their country. And the couple is two Thai actors Porsch Apiwat and Arm Sappanyoo. And Starhunter is making the reality series about them titled “PorschArm The Wedding”. I would like to watch it so I hope it will be available with English subs somewhere.

And to stay on subject of Thai actors who proposed to their long-term boyfriends lately, here is a cute interview with Mew Suppasit, where he talks, amongst a few other things, about his relationship with Tul Pakorn, and about planning a surprise marriage proposal. 😊

As for drama watching – there was so much good stuff last week. Perfect 10 Liners continues to be cute and lovely, and my newest obsession Klao/Warich brings me a lot of joy. I even started writing my first fic and already have 1500 words written. Rented in Finland continues to be cute and funny, and always reliably make me laugh so hard. The Heart Killers continues to be ridiculous and entertaining. And I still have the last two episodes of Check in Hanyang and Petrichor to watch. Hmm, I think I have too many dramas started and not enough time to watch all of them, because I’m always behind on at least one or two. 😊

Love Scout episode 9

That was wonderful. I’m very impressed with a quality of this drama, and hoping really hard that the remaining three episodes will be just that good, too.

Spoilers here.Aaaaa, drama and angst is coming and I’m scared. I really would be so fine with the remaining three episodes being just sweetness and cuteness for our main couple, and full of adventures in becoming a couple for our lovely second leads.

But Eun Ho now knows that Ji Yun’s father died saving his life, and he’s devastated. And of course he decided to tell Ji Yun, because that’s the kind of guy he is. And I am grateful that. Because I was a bit afraid that they will drag it out for too long. But no, thankfully not.

And fine, if we have to go through drama and angst, then do it in ep 10, and then we could have two episodes for sweetness and fluffiness. Just no temporary break up, please. Taking space to deal with all these complicated feelings, and not going to work for instance – that’s perfectly fine. They are so mature, they communicate well, so I hope for no irritating kdrama cliches here.

But most of this episode was lovely, and funny and sexy, too. Of course jealous Eun Ho was great and made me laugh. And wow, that kissing in the beginning... That was very hot – something not that common still when it comes to kdrama kisses. And that move when he lifts her and spins her, and they kiss so hard against a bookshelf that books start falling down on the floor. 🤩

Ossan’s Love Thailand episode 5

My cute and funny Monday drama – I love it a lot. It always makes me laugh.

Spoilers here, too.I’m very glad Heng finally told his boss that he’s not interested in him like that. I was starting to get a bit :/ about that. Because Kongtech started to be a bit too pushy for my taste. But that episode corrected that, first with Mo telling Heng to stop running from the problem and go talk to their boss honestly, and Heng then doing exactly that. And of course Heng already has feelings for Mo, and I think he starts to realize it.

And this episode have so many amusing references to Moonlight Chicken. I loved that so much.

And the preview of episode 6 made go :DDD, because Thor/Earth? Yes, please. Although now that I think about this scene – that screensaver on Ten’s phone has a picture of both Heng and Mo, so maybe it will be Thor/Mix. And if so, I’m game, too. 😊

Let’s start with a trailer.

Love Like A Bike

It’s the official pilot trailer for a new Thai BL. It has Pattaya, cycling, lots of melodrama and three pretty couple. And two familiar faces amongst actors: Ta Nakun and Tee Thanapon (Tol from Triage). And it’s directed by Golf Tanwarin. I’m definitely interested.

And a ballet rec is for Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. I love that ballet so much. I love the version with the traditional Petipa and Ivanov’s choreography a lot, too. But I love Matthew Bourne’s reimagining and choreography even more.

First I want to rec a wonderful, short vid on Youtube with comments by Matthew Bourne, Adam Cooper (the original Swan) and Harrison Dowzell (the next generation Swan).

Becoming the Swan in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake

And someone put 2019 version on Youtube, too, in a very good quality. It's here. I don’t know how long it will be there. But if you wanted to watch it for now you can.

Petrichor

I watched six episodes for now, still haven’t got the time to watch the 7th episode yet.

I like it a lot. Engfa and Charlotte are both great here (I tried watching Love Bully last year since I was curious about them, but managed only one episode because I found it boring). And of course they are both gorgeous women and have wonderful chemistry. I am mildly interested in the ‘who’s the real killer’ plot, but that’s not the main draw for me. The romance between the leads is, and a warm and loving relationship between Tun and her older brother Tin. And the cute secondary F/F couple. And of course it’s always so nice to see Max Nattapol on my screen again, even if here it’s in a relatively small secondary part.

Love Scout episodes 3-4

I loved it. These two episodes were very good, too. I really hope the drama keeps up being this good for the remaining eight episodes.

Spoilers here.I have two ‘sigh, why’ quibbles. And one of them is about the drama introducing the second love triangle. Especially since it seems to me that our second leads will probably end up together. We found out that they both lost a sibling, so I fell like they will probably bond over that and then start having romantic feelings for each other.

And of course our main leads have a childhood connection, of course they have. I mean, it’s not confirmed yet in the drama, there were only hints for now, but I’m sure of it. It is a kdrama after all. I just really hope it won’t be used for unnecessary drama and last minute breakup since it’s connected to a big tragedy for both of them.

But they are really just quibbles and all the other things were so, so good in these episodes. Our lovely main romance, both main leads being such wonderful, fascinating characters, all the different relationships in this drama, not just romantic ones. Like for instance Seo Mi Aae and her husband's relationship. I loved that scene when her husband came to pick her up after company dinner and he knew she would be drunk so he brought crocs for her to change from her elegant shoes. Aww...

Ossan’s Love Thailand episode 2

Ok, the drama gets its own tag here. Because I loved that 2nd episodes even more than the first. It was sweet, funny, and adorable, and I laughed so much. And made a lot of aww noises at my laptop, too. This drama is surprisingly touching sometimes amongst all the comedy.

Spoilers here, too.Heng is such a sweet and kind dork. And you know, he looks like Earth. No wonder that those two guys fell so hard for him. 😊

And I think that Heng already starts to feel a stirring of something more than friendship for Mo, even though of course he doesn’t recognize it for what it is. And for now he’s only determined to win Mo’s friendship back.

And earlier I forgot to mention that Thor is in this drama, too. And looking absolutely gorgeous as a star employee at Heng’s company.

And of course I loved First and Khaotung’s cameo as Alan and Gaipa... I mean, excuse me - Alone and Gaitong 😉 They are a couple here, too, and with backstory of First and Khaotung’s characters from Moonlight Chicken. And everything about that was hilarious. “His mother was my insurance client.” And then making fun of Gaipa singing at his mother’s funeral. LOL

But now I want other BL pairings to have cameos as couples inspired by their characters in previous dramas. Heh...

A Virtuous Business

I finished it. The last three episodes were rushed and a bit weaker than the rest of the drama IMO. But still I can sincerely recommend it. It was a lovely drama that was mainly about women being awesome, and about deep female friendship. With a happy, uplifting ending. I loved it.

Love Scout episodes 1-2

You know that story that was told in kdramas so many times before – the one about a romance between a cold, prickly, strict, and high-maintenance CEO and a warm, caring, kind, well-organized secretary? I’m usually pretty meh about this kind of plot. Unless you make CEO a woman and her new secretary a man, and a single parent at that. That will make me check at least an episode or two. 😊 Which I did, and I enjoyed the first two episodes of Love Scout so much. Here is hoping that the rest will be good, too.

And I think it’s a noona romance, too. In RL the female lead is two years older than the male lead. And it seems it’s the same in the drama.

A bit more with spoilers (and one vid) here.Kang Ji Yun is CEO of a headhunting company with a tragic backstory and childhood trauma, who is so overworked and stressed that she fainted at work and had to be taken to the hospital. Her coworker and friend hires Yu Eun Ho as her secretary. Eun Ho was a talented HR manager at his previous firm, but he was fired because his boss bore a grudge against him for taking a year off for paternity leave when Eun Ho’s six years old daughter had psychological problems. His boss blames Eun Ho for failure of an important project, which resulted in the boss not getting the promotion at work.

Of course Ji Yun is at first against hiring Eun Ho and treats him coldly in the beginning. But it’s mostly because they had antagonistic interactions earlier, before he started working for her. And she thinks, with good reasons, that he doesn’t respect headhunters and the work they do. And he admits that she’s right about that and apologizes and asks her to teach him about her work. I love that they communicate like mature adults they are.

And of course very soon she starts to change her mind about him. And I think feelings on both sides are already forming. They even had a significant moment in the 2nd episode with slow motion and looking deeply into each other eyes.

What is funny that Eun Ho basically had a meet cute moment with the second male lead in episode 2, too. Also with slow motion and looking deeply into each other eyes when Eun Ho caught Jeong Hun in his arms after Jeong Hun stumbled and almost fell down. I’m grateful to SBS for putting a short vid of this scene on Youtube. Here it is:

What can I say, I enjoy slashy moments in kdramas a lot. 😊

And I find it so cute that what Eun Ho does for Ji Yun in the beginning is what one basically does for a child. He places his hand under the edge of her desk to protect her from bumping her head when she’s looking for something on the floor (because he noticed earlier that she often did that), he installs edge protectors on all the sharp corners of her desk and filing cabinets in her office, he fixes her office’s door so it opens more easily, he organizes her very messy desk, and he takes care of plants in her office so they no longer die.

And I love how the drama shows Eun Ho’s home in the bright and warm colors and in contrast Ji Yun’s house is blue and grey, empty and cold.

What I am a bit meh about is a love triangle with our leads and the second female lead - the single mother of the boy, who is Eun Ho’s daughter’s best friend. She clearly has a big crush on Eun Ho. But at least it’s clear that Eun Ho doesn’t have any romantic feelings for her.

Ossan’s Love Thailand episode 1

You know what? I enjoyed it. A lot. It was funny and cute. Earth as a sweet, enthusiastic, dorky dumbass is adorable. Mix looks beautiful (especially while wearing glasses in flashbacks) and his character is adorable, too. And of course knowing Thailand’s fixed BL pairings thing it’s obvious that Heng (Earth) and Mo (Mix) will end up together. But I have to say that I like Kongdech (Heng’s boss who has a biggest crush on Heng) a lot, too. I hope the drama will find him another nice boyfriend. 😊

And now trailers.

Nocturnal

It’s Kim Nam Gil’s new movie. The tagline on the poster says “My brother’s death was written in the novel first.” It’s about the guy who wants to uncover the truth behind his younger brother’s mysterious death and the disappearance of his brother’s wife. He finds out that it’s connected to a bestselling novel that predicted this incident. Kim Nam Gil plays the writer of this novel.

The vid has only English subs auto-translated from Korean, so they are pretty bad. But still that trailer looks good. And ohhh, does that mean it’s Kim Nam Gil as a villain again? Gimme, I want it so much. It premiers in Korea on February the 5th. I hope it will be available for international audiences later.

I'll Turn Back This Time

It’s a new modern Chinese BL drama with Li Yimu and Kou Weilong i.e. Jinbao and Que Siming from Meet You At The Blossom. It’s made by the same team that made MYATB.

The short synopsis I found says: “Shen Nan and Gu Shiwen become step-brothers through their parents' remarriage. As they grow closer, and Gu Shiwen decides to confess his feelings, tragedy strikes. Shen Nan, who travels back in time, tries to change their fate.”

It looks good, and they look great together dressed in modern clothes. I do plan to watch it, but I will probably wait until all of it airs. It premieres on GagaOOLala on January 11. It will have six 50 minutes long episodes.

Reset: The Rebirth of a Star

It’s a new Thai BL drama with Pond Ponlavit (whom I know from Fourever You) and Peterpan Tadsapon (whom I loved as Phayu in Oh My Sunshine Night).

Funnily enough it’s also a drama about traveling back in time and trying to fix bad things that happened in the past. It’s about famous actor Armin, who dies after being betrayed by his lover. But then he wakes up on the set of his first movie where he was just an extra, and later meets a mysterious man named Thada, who claims to be his fan.

This is just a pilot trailer, but I’ve read that they already started filming. And based on that trailer I’m definitely in – it looks sexy, intriguing and entertaining. And the leads have great chemistry. I will try this one for sure.

Perfect 10 Liners episode 8

What a lovely, funny, and sweet episode it was. ♥

More with spoilers here.Aww, there was a piggy back ride, crying in the rain and love confessions from both sides. Also Jimmy’s cameo in spirit if not in the flesh when Tongfah says to Arm: “My bae studies medicine.” Heh...

Marc and Poon are so lovely and hot together. I love them so much in this drama.

And I adore JJ as Po. Poor guy left alone yet again by both his friends, who are getting picked up by their hot boyfriends. Give JJ a pairing GMMTV, please.

And please give me canon Brink/A-ngun, show, please. I’ll be satisfy even with crumbs. 😉 Because Piploy and Earn look so good together and they have great chemistry.

And wow, that Arc/Arm kiss in the bathroom was so good. Might be the best Forcebook kiss for me? Maybe second best after that kiss from the 1st episode of Only Friends? Force’s hand on the nape of Book’s neck during kissing always does things to me.

Here is that scene on youtube for those who would like to see it. 😊

And I think Arc and Arm’s part of the drama ended, and now they will be more of the side characters, and the drama will be focused on PerthSanta and JuniorMark.

The Fiery Priest 2 episode 10

Ok, that was good. I enjoyed this episode so much that I even re-watched a few of my favorite scenes twice already. Finally they found the right balance between serious drama and comedy.

Spoilers here, too. They found another excuse to have Kim Nam Gil wear a dress and makeup as a disguise. And I’m grateful, because he looked, like the last time, absolutely gorgeous. And then the fight scene with Hong Sik was fantastic, too, with Hae Il still wearing his pretty, sexy dress. And wow, his legs are long...

Also there was Honey Lee dressed as her character in The Knight Flower. :DDD And being a badass as always.

And of course that ending, damn... Not really a cliffhanger, though, because I didn’t believe even for one second that Hae Il shot himself when there are still two episodes left.

Ossan’s Love Thailand

The official trailer is here.

And I’m very surprised because that doesn’t look half bad. I didn’t like the pilot trailer at all, but this one I find quite cute and amusing. And I like Earth and Mix a lot, so I think I’ll try watching it. It starts airing in January.
