I have a lot of thoughts about all the dramas I watched lately, but no energy to write them down. So instead I’m making a post about fandomtrees.

A rec first for a fic that was posted only in the dreamwidth comment, and probably not many people saw it. And I really liked it and think it’s definitely worth reading.

It’s an OW fic written for a prompt: "A ghost tries to communicate with the new inhabitant/s of their former home. Sadly nobody understands their cryptic messages. Your character is brought in to help."

It’s melancholy and touching, but hopeful, too, with a sweet, uplifting ending. And it’s written in second person POV. And that POV very rarely works for me, but here it works perfectly and I love it.

I had a very hard week at work, and in the evenings I was so tired that I usually went to sleep at like 10 p.m. But I managed to write a bit of my Chocolate Box fic, so that’s a good thing.

Other good things that brought me joy this week were mostly connected to my newest love Kim Nam Gil.

I finished Live Up to Your Name – it was good and I really liked it. And it has one of the best kisses I’ve seen in Korean dramas. Maybe even the best. That scene is here on youtube if you’d like to see for yourself. :)

Kim Nam Gil also had a cameo in the 1st episode of Honey Lee’s (she played the female lead in the Fiery Priest) new drama One The Woman. He basically reprises his role from The Fiery Priest and it’s a hilarious scene. You can watch it here.

And Kim Nam Gil’s newest drama Through the Darkness has just started airing on VIKI. Yay! It’s a crime drama and he plays the man who becomes South Korea’s first criminal profiler back in the 1990s. Here is the trailer with English subs.

But there was no getting out of that meeting when one was the General of the Eastern Guard.



That last one was the biggest surprise for me. I’ve read a few original fics on AO3, but I’ve never before had an inspiration to write one. But when I read that prompt on fandomtrees the idea came to my mind and three days later I had 1500 words written. And I had a lot of fun writing them. So who knows there might be more original fics in the future. :)

Those two weeks were rather bad. Work is not only exhausting, but often frustrating. And the rest of the month probably won’t be much better in that regard. Last week one of my aunts (my mom’s older sister) died. I wasn’t close to her, she lived in a different city and I saw her once a year every two, three years. But my mom was close to her, and she took it hard. And of course there is the whole COVID situation. Today they reported 5300 new cases in Poland and it will only get worse. *tired sigh*

But luckily a few good things happened during those two weeks, too.

I finished the first draft of my Trick or Treat assignment. Yay me! :)

I bought a beautiful new desk, which is bigger than my old one, and so much more comfortable.

I bought two new bedside tables, which are also very pretty, and, what’s more important, have drawers that I can open without struggling and cursing for a few minutes. :)

But the best things during those two weeks was definitely my daily dose of Good Manager episodes.

china_shop, I’m so grateful to you for that rec, because I love it. And I ship Kim Sung Ryong/Seo Yool hard. I watched episode 19 earlier today and I will watch the last episode later this evening.
