The Secret Romantic Guesthouse

My loyalty kink is very well served by this drama. And my “kneeling to show loyalty” kink. This scene from episode 10 is like made especially for my id. Do you remember that scene from Guardian when Chu Shuzhi kneels before Black Cloaked Envoy? This is the scene like that one. No wonder I love it. 😊


Island

I finally watched more episodes of Kim Nam Gil’s new drama Island, after watching the first two episodes back in January. And I find it disappointingly mediocre. Kim Nam Gil is good and he looks beautiful dressed in black and being all angsty and tortured. But the rest is rather meh for me. The female lead makes me yawn, I don’t see any chemistry between her and Kim Nam Gil. And Cha Eun Woo is so pretty, but also not very good at acting here. Which is a bit surprising to me because the only other drama I saw him in was Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and I liked him a lot there.

I still have five more episodes to watch and I will watch them for Kim Nam Gil. But I’m so disappointed that it’s not good.


One Thousand Won Lawyer

Nam Goong Min had a cameo as his character from One Thousand Won Lawyer in the 2nd season of Taxi Driver with Lee Je Hoon.

Here is the whole scene. It’s very funny, and it gave me craving to see both these wonderful actors in one drama. Please, make it so. 😊

A Boss And A Babe

It is still my perfect comfort show. I don’t read any reviews, because I gathered that it was not very popular, and I don’t want to hear anything bad about it. I love it to pieces and I can’t wait for the next episode. And I’m so happy there will be two additional episodes as the part of Our Skyy 2.


Our Skyy 2: Never Let Me Go

It was cute and entertaining, but nothing special. This week episodes for Star in My Mind air, and I’m not watching, because this is one of the two dramas from Our Skyy 2 that I haven’t seen. But I will be watching the next week, because it’s The Eclipse time. It’s mainly about Akk and Ayan, of course, but Kan and Thua will be there, too. Yay!


Our Dining Table

I was supposed to wait until all of it aired, but I got impatient and damn, now I have another drama that I love and that I have to wait each week for a new episode. Because it’s so adorable and warm and cozy and sweet. And I love everything about it. And Inukai Atsuhiro is wonderful as always. It reminds a bit of Old Fashioned Cupcake, in the sense that it’s also “food as a love language” drama.

It’s available on GagOOLala, three episodes aired for now.

I’m so overworked lately. If I could I would gladly retire already. But we’re getting a new person in my small department in January, so that should help a lot. As for now I luckily have a lot of watching to distract me, and fretting over my Yuletide sign-up and letter is distracting, too. :)

Interview with the Vampire continues to be good. Funny thing is that after watching the trailer and teasers I was sure I would love this Claudia, and I had doubts about this Daniel. Right now after four episodes I like Daniel a lot, and Claudia is ok I guess, but I’m not really enamored with her.

But Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid are both so, so good as Louis and Lestat. Their chemistry is fantastic and Lestat/Louis relationship is so passionate and loving and at the same time so beautifully complicated and fucked up. I’m so glad the 2nd season is confirmed.



And I started War of Y – a Thai BL drama about inner workings of Thai BL industry. I watched the 1st episode yesterday and I’m intrigued, so I will watch a few episodes more to see if I want to watch all of it. And for Thai BL it’s quite long – 20 hour long episodes. It’s divided into four stories, each story lasts 5 episodes. Here are short summaries:

Story 1- New Ship

Before the ship, it wasn't easy. But this new era is even harder.

Story 2 - War of Managers

The story of a shipped couple who are privately a real couple. Managers and drama clash until the couple is forced to separate.

Story 3 - Y-Idol

A reality search for new actors—who can sing, dance, and act—and the chaos of the Idol Camp.

Story 4 - Wife

When one half of a shipped couple has a wife, will their future in this industry be ruined?



And of course there’s always fanfic for cheering up, too. It’s slim pickings with The Eclipse fanfic for now, but KinnPorsche fandom never disappoints in that regard.

For instance majestictortoise posted another fic in her Checkmate series, this time from Macau’s POV and it’s brilliant. The author said that they planned to write two more fics in this series – from Vegas’ POV and from Khun’s POV. I can’t wait to read them.

I survived my exhausting week in Warsaw. We did everything that needed to be done, so success. This week I’m taking much deserved, if short vacation. We were supposed to go to Nałęczów for a few days, but we couldn’t since mom wasn’t feeling well again. Nothing very serious, thankfully, but she’s definitely not fit to travel. So I’m staying at home - taking walks in the park, gorging myself on doughnuts from a famous local café, reading KinnPorsche fanfic and of course watching dramas. :)

I watched the first two episodes. It’s funny, I laughed out loud a few times, and Nam Goong Min is as always beautiful and perfect for me. And it has a cute anime style intro – it’s here on youtube. I will watch the rest for sure.

Interview with the Vampire

The 1st episode is already available so I watched it today. And what a relief, because it’s good. I don’t even mind that Daniel is so old. He doesn’t feel like Daniel Malloy from the books at all, he’s like a completely different character with the same name for me, but for now I like him.

But more importantly Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid are fantastic as Louis and Lestat and they have sizzling chemistry. You can see for yourself in this sexy NSFW gifset I found on tumblr.
