Yuletide if here again, yay! :D Dear Author, there are a few prompts below, but if you have a different idea, go for it.

Treats are welcomed, I have the option to receive gifts on AO3 turned on.

DNW )

GENERAL LIKES )

Explicit fics are welcomed, but of course not necessary. As you’ll see below I’m rather vanilla when it comes to smut likes. :)

SMUT LIKESHard, desperate kisses (especially neck kisses, hands around necks are my thing, too)
Possessive behavior (with “you’re mine” or “you belong to me” language)
Frantic sex with tearing the clothes off or still half-dressed
One person being naked and the other still dressed
Service tops
Rough sex with biting and marking
Manhandling
Overstimulation with characters being overwhelmed or begging for more
Coming untouched
Penetrative sex and non-penetrative sex are all good
Sex in the bed is great, sex on the table or in the chair, or on the floor, or against the wall, or in the shower is fantastic, too

Meet You at the BlossomJin Xiaobao, Zongzheng Huaien, Su Yin

Fandom specific DNW:
Characterization or worldbuilding elements from the novel
Su Yin/Shaoyu (if Shaoyu is in the fic, I’m ok with him having a one-sided crush on Su Yin)

I asked for the three of them, but I’m perfectly fine with a fic about just Xiaobao and Huaien.

If you’ll write the fic about three of them I’ll be delighted both with Xiaobao/Huaien & Su Yin, and with Xiaobao/Huaien/Su Yin threesome.

If you’ll go with the threesome – I want all the getting together fics, it can be post canon, or maybe the three of them getting together in a canon divergence AU I write about below.

Or a fake dating with Su Yin having to pretend to be Xiaobao’s jealous husband Zongzheng Huaien. Maybe some unhinged Shaoyu supporters (without Shaoyu’s knowledge) decided to get rid of a possible threat to Shaoyu being the future emperor, but they didn’t know how Huaien look like and kidnapped Su Yin by mistake, because they saw him being affectionate with Xiaobao. It can end with a threesome, or not – both options are good.

Canon divergence AU where Tongen didn't die and Huaien was raised in the palace as the Crown Prince. He probably would know Su Yin before Xiaobao then. Or maybe Su Yin was the one who introduced them and then really regrated it later. 😊 Or Xiaobao met Huaien by chance, mistook him for a beautiful woman like in the drama, promised to marry her and only her, and then Su Yin had to explain to him that yeah, that is the crown prince and not a beautiful fairy met in the woods.

Outsider POV – for the threesome or just for Xiaobao/Huaien. There are so many potential POVs to choose from and I would adore fic with every one of them: the Shadows, Jinbao, Zhaocai, Li Gongxiang, Xiaoyu, Que Siming, Xiaobao’s mother.

For just Xiaobao/Huaien I would love a post canon fic – give me fluff and/or smut, or Jinbao and Que Siming coming for a visit (and Jinbao and Xiaobao gossiping about their lovers), or a future fic and them dealing with teenage Xiaoyu. And I love weddings, so I would love to read about Huaien and Xiaobao dressed in red on their wedding day.

My Personal WeathermanSegasaki Mizuki, Tanada Yoh

This is one of my favorite BL dramas ever. And I love these two and their complicated, messed-up, passionate, and very sexy relationship.

I want all the post-canon fics, but especially the first time Yoh says “Okaeri” at the door.

But I would also love fics about what was happening with Yoh and Segasaki during those three years between Segasaki’s proposal and Yoh moving in. What prompted Yoh to accept Segasaki’s proposal?

When did Segasaki get that tracker he put in Yoh’s bag? He had it ready at hand in episode 5. Did he buy it just in case? Did he use it again post-canon, because I think that he absolutely would.

I love outsider POV fics - Man-san’s POV would be great. Or maybe her husband’s. Did he ever have the opportunity to explain to Segasaki Mizuki that he’s not a shady editor who wanted to seduce Yoh? 😊

Or let’s say that My Favorite Idol manga got popular. Did it get a fandom? How does that fandom look like? I bet someone noticed that a handsome meteorologist from online broadcast Everyday Weather looked exactly like a main character from an indie BL manga, right? 😊 Or give me a crossover about a fan who writes fanfic about My Favorite Idol manga and Lion Heart RPF (the band from Bump Up Business). Or a fic with discussions from a BL dreamwidth community, or a BL discord.

Bump Up BusinessGong Jihoon, Kang Eden

I love this drama. It made me into OnlyOneOf fan. I think Nine and Mill are wonderful as Jihoon and Eden. And I love both of them so much – Jihoon who’s so cautious and closed off in the beginning because of scars he has from his previous relationship, and Eden who’s like a little ray of sunshine in Jihoon’s life.

I want them to be happy together forever, so I would love a post-canon fic about their everyday life – fluff or smut or both. I don’t mind some angst, for instance about the necessity of keeping their relationship secret if they want to be kpop idols, but only with a happy ending, please.

In episode 4 when Jihoon jokes about having a lover Eden says: “There were rumors about you in the past.” I would love a fic about that. What were those rumors about – Jihoon’s relationship with Hyunbin? Did Jihon have other lovers in the past?

And to steal the idea from real life – maybe Jihoon and Eden are offered the opportunity to star in a BL drama. How would they deal with that? Jihoon/Eden RPF shippers would explode for sure. 😊 You can make it a crossover with My Personal Weatherman and have this drama be an adaptation of Yoh and Man-san’s manga.

Outsider POV would be great, too – for instance from their manager Choi Dajung’s POV, or from Jay’s POV. Or maybe even from a fan’s POV. Again something about fandom would be great – excerpts from RPF fics, discussions on twitter or discord, tinhating.

The Time of FeverGo Ho Tae, Kim Dong Hee

I loved Go Ho Tae and Kim Dong Hee’s subplot in Unintentional Love Story, which I watched first. But I love The Time of Fever even more. All that longing, love and desire, and meaningful glances filled with so many feelings filmed so beautifully, and bathed in a sensuous golden light.

Give me all the fluff, and post ULS fics, with them getting properly together. Have them be in love and happy and doing all the things happy couples do.

And give me all the first time fics – a first official date, first time having sex, telling the family, moving in together.

Or canon divergence AUs with them getting together earlier, maybe right after Dong Hee came back from Seoul. Or Ho Tae getting a clue earlier about what he really feels for Dong Hee, and going after him to Seoul.

That second kiss at home – what if something more than just a kiss happened. How would they deal with that?

Outsider POV – especially from the POV of Ho Tae’s mother. I felt like that scene in the last episode of Unintentional Love Story between Dong Hee and Ho Tae’s mom hinted at mom knowing that there is something more than friendship between her son and Dong Hee, and being sort of accepting about it? Or maybe one of Ho Tae’s girlfriends realizing why he’s such a lousy boyfriend. And then meeting Ho Tae and Dong Hee together later when they are a happy official couple.

Arthdal ChroniclesSaya, Eunseom

Complicated and fucked up, but still full of feelings, sibling relationship are like catnip to me. And Saya and Eunseom’s relationship is like made for me. So messed up, and filled with all this complicated love, and tragedy and suffering and pain. And I loved all the angst in canon, but now I just want to see them both happy.

I will be very happy with both gen fic and incest fic. If you’ll go with incest, I have no problem with AU where their sexual relationship starts when they are both teenagers, but I don’t want them to be younger than 15 then.

I also like Saya/Eunseom/Tanya threesome. I like Tanya a lot, too, so if you’ll go with Saya/Eunseom just have her be single, or get together with Yangcha for instance. Or with Karika Xabara – that would be wonderful. 😊

I would love AU where they were never separated and were raised together either in Wahan tribe or by Tagon in Arthdal.

Or AU where Tagon loses much earlier. Where Saya and Taealha’s rebellion was successful with Nunbyeol managing to kill Tagon. Saya says to Tanya in episode 7 of The Sword of Aramun: “We’ll kill Tagon, take down Taealha, and we, the three children of the prophecy, will take over the world.” So I want this, I want to see Saya, Eunseom and Tanya ruling together.

We find out in the last episode that Eunseom looked for Saya but couldn’t find him. So I want AU where Eunseom manages to find Saya. They share dreams after all, so maybe Eunseom saw Saya in his dreams again.

This is the fandom where I do request modern AUs. Have Tagon be a powerful CEO and Saya his adopted son, and Eunseum his long lost twin, and their war is about the succession. Or make it a competition between two companies Arthdal and Ago with two brothers on the opposite sides. Or mafia AU with a war between two gangs.

I finished my Yuletide letter, yay me. I decided against requesting the 6th fandom, but shortening the letter didn’t work anyway. 😊 Now what’s left to do is sign up.

The official trailer of Perfect 10 Liners. And I love it already even though it’s another university BL. Everything about it looks good to me. Force and Book are great and sexy together, and I love that we’re getting more of Mark and Junior, and Aou and Boom. I can’t wait for 27th of October.

This BTS vid for The Time of Fever. No English subtitles, but it’s still worth watching - it’s for episode 4 with these two wonderful, hot kisses.

This gifset of Reese and Orca’s scene from the 10th episode of First Note of Love. It’s beautiful, romantic, and perfect.

Love in the Big City will be on VIKI. YAY!!!! I’m so happy that I will be able to watch it legally.

Last, but not least - the teaser poster for the 2nd season of The Fiery Priest. It premiers on November 8, apparently on Disney Plus.

I’m still pretty busy, but I should have more free time starting the next week. And good, because Yuletide singups are open, and I really should finish my letter. And maybe try to shorten it a little? Because it already has 1400 words divided between five fandoms. But I think one of those fandoms definitely needs more words, not less. And I’m deliberating now if I want to add the sixth fandom. And I have to sort my offers, too.

And here have a few recs, and other good news, so I can clean up my bookmarks a little.

Two great fanvids for The Time of Fever:

Love, Maybe

Unconditionally

The 2nd season of Tengu No Daidokoro is currently being filmed and here is the link to Instagram with a few BTS pics. And yay – Yui is there, too. And Motoi has his cute little wings. 😊

And now trailers for dramas I’m impatiently waiting for.

Love in the Big City

It’s a kdrama based on the novel by Park Sang Young. It premiers on October 21. Don’t know if it will be available legally for international audiences, since there is no news about it being on any of usual streaming services yet. But I plan to watch it anyway. I'm sure there will be some way to do that. 😊

Pluto

It’s GMMTV’s GL drama with Namtan and Film. And it looks good. And a bit like a female version of Not Me. It starts airing on October 19. I can’t wait.

Sugar Dog Life finished airing, so I can do a proper rec post now. This was one of those Japanese BL dramas not available for international audience, but luckily there were lovely people making fansubs. You can get all the episodes with hard subs here.

I wholeheartedly recommend this drama if you want to watch something cute and heartwarming. Because that was one of the cutest and fluffiest BL dramas I’ve ever watched. There is one tiny subplot in like two episodes, which has a tiny bit of angst, but apart from that there is nothing but sweetness and fluff and sugar overload. And it’s one of those ‘food as the love language’ dramas, so you might get a bit hungry while watching it. 😊

As for our main characters - Sakuraba Isumi is 20 years old student with a baby face, which is responsible for him almost getting taken into custody by 31 years old police officer Amasawa Kyosuke, who thinks Isumi is a minor getting drunk on the street late at night. They meet again when Amasawa starts buying his snacks in a convenience store where Isumi works part-time. They start to get closer because Isumi is concerned about Amasawa’s unhealthy eating habits and offers to cook for him at home.

A bit more with spoilers behind the cut.Isumi is adorable and kind, if a bit grumpy and closed off at first, and unable to rely on others because of what happened with his father when he was a child. Amasawa is charming and sincere, and honest, but so oblivious to Isumi’s feelings for a long time. Even though Isumi isn’t even that subtle. But it wasn’t frustrating IMO, because there was no silly miscommunication drama here, just a sweet and oblivious guy who couldn’t recognize his feelings for what they were. But then, thanks to this, we got an obligatory running scene after Amasawa had his light-bulb moment. And I love running scenes after life-changing realizations so much. I also love knowledgeable best friends, who always notice their friend’s feelings, and always have the best relationship advice. A character like that is the staple in Japanese BLs, and this drama has one of those, too. 😊

The actors have nice chemistry and the cutest height difference. Isumi has to stand on his tiptoes, but like a lot, to press that sweet kiss to Amasawa’s cheek in the eighth episode. They are really adorable together. 😍

Two lovely fanvids for Ho Tae and Dong Hee (spoilery for both The Time of Fever and Unintentional Love Story):

Since We Were 18

Why Did You Leave Me?

Won Tae Min singing the song from The Time of Fever OST: What If. He’s not only beautiful and a very good actor, he can sing, too. 😊

Sugar Dog Life

So good, so charming and so fluffy – I love it a lot. I’m very sad that the next week is the last episode. I wish it was at least a little bit longer.

First Note of Love

I posted about the trailer for this drama in July. And I’m happy to report, after I watched the eight episodes that aired for now, that it’s very good. It’s available on Gaga and VIKI, and there are four more episodes to air.

It’s a Taiwanese BL about a famous singer Neil, who stopped performing a few years ago because of trauma caused by a personal tragedy, and Sea, a student, who’s also a talented musician and a big fan of Neil. They start working together because Neil’s agent thinks this is a way for Neil to overcome his anxiety issues and stage fright and return to performing.

It’s an age gap pairing – Neil is 27 years old, Sea is 19 or 20. And it’s not really grumpy one/sunshine one pairing, it’s more grumpy one/a bit less grumpy one. 😊 I love them, it’s mine kind of pairing, and both actors are good and have nice chemistry.

But as it happens often with me, I love the secondary couple a little bit more. And here I have a very important question to ask Guardian peeps in my dreamwidth circle: do you want to see Lin Jing kissing boys? Because now you have a chance. 😊 Lin Jing’s actor Liu Min Ting plays Neil’s agent Reese, and he’s one half of the secondary couple. And let me tell you – he looks so good here. I didn’t even recognize him at first. I thought he looked vaguely familiar, but only when I checked the mydramalist page I realized it was him.

I’m putting two promotional images behind the cut – one of Reese looking very handsome and hot, and one of Reese with Thai singer Orca, who’s his love interest.

I’m so busy in September, that I don’t really have much time for fandom stuff. I was planning to sign up for Trick or Treat, but in the end decided not to, since I probably will be busy in October, too. Maybe I’ll write a treat or two if I have time. And I still haven’t sorted out my Yuletide nominations yet.

I do have time for watching dramas in the evenings to help me unwind, though. And I loved one of those dramas so much that I have to tell you all about it, and somehow I wrote 1200 words to do it. 😊

It’s called The Time of Fever, and it is the prequel to Korean BL drama Unintentional Love Story. It’s about the secondary couple from ULS Dong Hee and Ho Tae. It was released at first only in Korea as a movie in theaters, and now they released it as a drama with six 20-minutes-long episodes. Both dramas are available on iQIYI, but unfortunately not in all the countries.

I loved The Time of Fever so, so much. I loved it much more than its parent story. I mean, I did like ULS when I watched it a few months ago. It’s a pretty well written and well-acted drama with two good couples. And yes, I liked the main pairing, too. Of course I did – it’s an age gap grumpy one/sunshine one pairing, I tend to love those. But yeah, like many people, I loved the secondary pairing in ULS more, even though this trope isn’t really my favorite usually. It’s childhood friends-to-lovers pairing with a lot of repressed feelings and complicated emotions, and a bit of miscommunication, which I usually don’t have a lot of patience for. And I was a little bit frustrated by that in The Time of Fever, too, but everything else worked so well for me because of very good writing and two excellent actors with fantastic chemistry, that I was willing to overlook this tiny little bit of annoyance.

I especially love Won Tae Min as Go Ho Tae. I knew him before from the BL drama You Make Me Dance, which I enjoyed a lot, too. He was great there, and he’s great in ULS, and absolutely amazing in The Time of Fever.

The Time of Fever is achingly beautiful, sensuous, filled with love, longing and desire, and gazes that show so many hidden feelings. And it has two wonderful, hot kisses. Seriously, it’s a Kdrama, so I didn’t expect kisses at all, and certainly not for them to be this scorchingly hot. The proof is behind the cut in the form of four gifs.

Enjoy. 😊
“Teach me how to kiss, hyung.”

“Can you teach me one more time? Just one more time, okay?”

I think that if someone hasn’t seen Unintentional Love Story yet, then it might be better for them to watch The Time of Fever first. Because then you can instantly watch the follow up and see what happened later with them in the second drama. Just bear in mind that Dong Hee and Ho Tae are the main characters here and the secondary characters in ULS, and their relationship doesn’t get much focus in ULS.

More with spoilers for both dramas behind the cut.I just have to tell you up front that their ending in The Time of Fever is an open one, considering it is a prequel and we know what their relationship is like in ULS. And it is kinda frustrating that their ending in ULS is open, too. So, sequel when? 😊

But The Time of Fever shows so beautifully and perfectly the build of sexual tension, how much they both love and want each other, and you get why they both react the way they react to that love and desire. Dong Hee withdrawing and repressing (like I understood it - he was kicked out of his home by his abusive father, and it’s implied that it was because of his sexuality). And Ho Tae being blunt and direct about what he wants physically (touching and kissing), but clearly not really understanding his feelings, and passively agreeing to propositions of dating from various girls, because I guess he feels this is what guys do – date girls, and not their male best friends. So he says ‘yes’ to every girl who asks, and then they all break up with him, because he prioritizes Dong Hee over them, and drops whatever plans he had with them to chase after Dong Hee. But Dong Hee of course can’t help but feel abandoned when he sees Ho Tae agreeing to date yet another girl.

But Dong Hee also can’t make the first move and admit his feelings openly, because he believes (for a very long time, because he still believes this in ULS) that being in relationship with Ho Tae would be harming Ho Tae and Ho Tae’s mother, too. He says a few times that if he admitted his feelings for Ho Tae, he wouldn’t be able to look Ho Tae’s mother (with whom he has a great, affectionate relationship) in the eyes. And it’s obviously informed by Dong Hee’s fraught relationship with his father, and abuse his father subjected him to.

When Dong Hee tells his best friend that he decided to study in Seoul Ho Tae says:

“Do you hate me that much? I apologized to you and told you I won’t do it again.”

And you can clearly see how much they both want to do it again - to kiss again, and to keep doing it over and over again. But Dong Hee can’t move on because of his trauma, and Ho Tae still doesn’t realize that he’s so desperately in love with his best friend. And all this prevents them from admitting that they love each other and want each other, and that leads to their separation. To Dong Hee leaving to study in Seoul, and Ho Tae staying behind in so much pain and still not really understanding that what he feels are romantic love and desire.

Ho Tae finally recognizes his feelings for what they are in ULS, but Dong Hee takes a bit more time to believe him, and like I’ve said their ending in ULS was open, yet again. I would say definitely hopeful, but yeah, they don’t get together on screen. And that’s why I would really, really love at least a special sequel episode when they do get together properly. And where they kiss some more. 😊

And I really felt like that scene in the last episode of ULS between Dong Hee and Ho Tae’s mom hinted at mom knowing that there is something more than friendship between her son and Dong Hee, and being sort of accepting about it?

And someone nominated The Time of Fever for Yuletide, so now I have to find time to sit down and write up prompts for my Yuletide letter. Because of course I want to request all the fics for that beautiful drama. 😊

The official trailer for GMMTV new BL drama Kidnap.

It looks good. Ohm Pawat is hot, and he has great chemistry with his new acting partner Leng. There is also baby Ohm (Thipakorn) playing Ohm’s little brother and looking very cute, and Papang playing a villain again (I think?), and looking very handsome while doing so. It starts airing on September the 6th.

The teaser for the Japanese version of Love In The Air.

I don’t hate Japanese Phayu on sight – that’s a good sign. 😊 And Naguma Shomo looks very hot. The teaser doesn’t have English subtitles, so I wonder if the drama will be available for international audiences. I read that it should start airing in November, so I think I’ll have time to at least start watching the Thai drama before that. I decided that I wanted to try after all, especially since I’ve heard that Love in the Air was basically Mame lite. So who knows, maybe it won’t be that bad. 😊

Mon and Pak (Wayu and Jao from Two Worlds) will be the leads in a new BL drama Doctor’s Mine. Yay, I’m so excited. I loved them in Two Worlds, and I’m excited to have a show where they are the main couple. Just look at them being all cute and hot:

There will be another costume Chinese BL called The General’s Son (Jiang Jun Jia De Xiao Er Zi). From what I could find on tumblr it already finished filming, and here is the synopsis:

Li Jianwei, young master of General Li's, is as beautiful as jade and spring flowers. One day, he went to the Wei mountain to seek revenge. Chen Xiaoxi, a person who was pure but was killed unjustly and became a devil. What will happen when these two meet on the Wei mountain?

I don’t know where and when it will air, but according to MyDramaList it has 24 episodes. I wonder how long the episodes will be. But the posters and photos of the actors look great, so I hope it will be available with English subs somewhere.

Last but not least – a few days ago I posted my first Meet You At The Blossom fic (for details see below). And I already almost finished the first draft of my second fic. Yay, me. 😊

And this time it’s even about dramas other than MYATB. 😉

Love Next Door

I watched the 1st episode and I liked it. I was a bit underwhelmed at first, but by the end of that episode I knew I definitely wanted to watch more. I still don’t really care for the female lead Bae Seok Ryu (although tiny Seok Ryu in the flashbacks is cute as a button and tough as nails 😊). But I already love Kim Ji Eun as Seok Ryu’s friend Jung Mo Eum – she’s awesome. And Jung Hae In as the male lead is so pretty, even with his unflattering haircut (but I got used to it by the end of the 1st ep 😊). I look forward to watching more.

Summer Night

It’s such a sweet, relaxing weekly watch for me. And look, I love messy, angsty and complicated stuff, but sometimes it’s so comforting to watch something like this – surprisingly mature teenagers having honest conversations about their feelings, where nobody is villainized for feeling the way they feel.

Also wow, someone on their creating team sure seems to ship Dunk and Phuwin hard. Heh... And I can see why, they do have great chemistry. The drama gives them ship teasing moments almost in every episode, despite both of their characters being straight here and having female love interests. I wish Thailand wasn’t so rigidly stiff when it comes to fixed BL pairings and let actors have different partners from time to time. Like, after Moonlight Chicken, I would die for another drama with Mix and First as lovers. Or yes, Dunk and Phuwin right now.

BL dramas

There are too many new dramas I want to try now. My to-watch list keeps growing and growing. Still it’s better to have too many than not enough. 😊 Especially since I dropped three dramas lately, so I have time to watch something new.

I finally dropped Sunset x Vibes, after eight episodes. It was so disappointing, so badly written, and so unsexy that even Mos and Bank’s chemistry couldn’t save it for me.

I also dropped two new Japanese BL dramas:

Takara’s Treasure, after three episodes – so boring, and I didn’t feel any chemistry between leads.

Cosmetic Playlover, also after three episodes – very uneven, the 1st ep was pretty good, and then the next two were bad. But I might get back to it one day, since both lead actors are good, and their chemistry is scorching.

Then I started another new Japanese BL I Hear The Sunspot this Sunday, and after watching the 1st episode I instantly watched the next two. It’s so cute and charming and optimistic.

Sugar Dog Life continues to be fluffy and sweet, and adorable, too. It’s another relaxing weekly watch for me, and I’m so grateful to that person doing fansubs.

The Trainee is pretty cute, too, and surprisingly realistic when it comes to portraying what it’s like to start your first job, and make mistakes and try to learn to do better. Another important, albeit very shallow, reason for me tuning in to watch this drama every week is how gorgeous Off is here. 😊 Yep, this is the hottest Off look for me out of all the dramas I saw him in.

And 4 Minutes is on Gaga now, so it will be easier to watch. But I’m waiting for this one to finish airing.

RL is so annoying lately – a lot of tiny problems that tire me so much. Do I really have to deal with a shower head that stopped working and a leaky toilet at the same time, life, really? Add a few problems with my new phone, too. Urgh... I consider myself lucky that I fell in love with Meet You At The Blossom so hard. At least I have this cute, funny, angsty, emotional and pretty drama to help me unwind. You bet I’m in the middle of another re-watch. 😊

And good news is that I finished the 1st draft of my first Huaien/Xiaobao fic. Yay! Now it’s needs some editing (but not that much, it’s nothing complicated, just 2000 words of porn with feelings 😊), and it will be ready to send for beta-reading.

And I have fanworks recs. Three fanvids first, all Huaien/Xiaobao:

Love Me Wrong

Love Won't Let Me Leave

And now a fic – it’s this one threesome fic I really liked:

And not MYATB stuff is about two upcoming Japanese BL dramas I’m interested in.

The first one is the Japanese version of Love In The Air with Naguma Shomo as one of the leads. I loved Naguma Shomo as Kazuma in At 25:00 In Akasaka, he’s hot and charismatic, so on the one hand I would love to watch this drama. On the other hand it’s Mame, and Mame’s id is like my anti id, so I don’t know. But on the third hand Japan is really good at making stuff with problematic tropes in a way more aligned with my id, so who knows I might even like a Japanese version of Mame. 😊

The other drama is Love Is Like A Poison. It’s about Ryoma, an elite lawyer, and Haruto, a brilliant con artist, who becomes business partners and start living together. It premieres in Japan in September. Here is mydramalist page for this drama.

Actors look good together and the summary sounds like my thing. I really hope it will get the international release, too. And if not then let’s hope that some kind fan will make fansubs.

Oh, one more thing – Guardian Wishlist fest started posting wishlists. Woohoo! I have to sit down one day and take a look at them. Maybe something will spark joy and summon a plot bunny or two. I miss writing Guardian fics. 😊

That was the best, most perfect finale ever. 😍

Squee with spoilers here.It had everything – kisses, angst, hurt and comfort, reconciliation, teasing, laughter and happy ending for all expect for villains.

Wow, that scene where Xiaobao begged Su Yin on his knees for Huaien’s life – that was good. I’m seriously so impressed with Wang Yunkai’s acting. It’s hard to believe it’s his first acting job.

Su Yin ended his villain era and is on good terms with Xiaobao again. And listen I do ship Huaien/Xiaobao hard. So hard. But Wang Yunkai and Li Junliang really have great chemistry and I will absolutely read all the canon divergence AUs with Xiaobao/Su Yin pairing. Also threesome, please, I want threesome fics, too. There is one WIP already, but I want more. 😊

And that first kiss was so beautiful, and touching and perfect. You could feel all their feelings – longing and love and passion in that kiss. I loved it so much.

And there were so many funny scenes that made me laugh out loud. Like goodbye scene between Jinbao and Xiaobao. Like Huaien and Su Yin arguing jealously even during Xiaobao’s detoxification. Like Shaoyu bickering with Xiaobao, and Xiaobao boasting that "his Huaien" is the emperor’s son, too, and Shaoyu’s older brother, so Xiaobao totally wins. And Xiaoyu taking the mantle of being a little troll and interrupting Huaien and Xiaobao every time they tried to kiss. And Zhaocai encouraging her and snickering in the background.

And then there was that lovely second kiss. And talking about the wedding and Xiaobao wanting to see Huaien dressed in red. And then there was this mischievous, lustful look in Xiaobao’s eyes when he said: “Let’s go to the bridal chamber.” LOL

They are so happy and so in love. And my heart is dancing with joy. Seriously, I can’t find even one thing I disliked in this beautiful, prefect finale. Now, shower me with fics, fandom, pretty please. And I already started to write down prompts for my Yuletide request. 😊

Ahhhh, it was wonderful and I loved it. 😍 I have to go out now and will be back late in the evening, so I’m just quickly writing down a few thoughts behind the cut.

Spoilers here.Huaien in black! I love that look on him. And I’m glad we got it here, since it seems he will be back all in white in the next episode.

And Su Yin is in his villain era, being all controlling and making decision for Xiaobao without listening to what Xiaobao wants. It seems men who like Xiaobao also like to knock him out when they don’t want to hear him arguing anymore. My poor baby... 😊

And I still can’t tell if the drama wants me to think that Su Yin has romantic feelings for Xiaobao and represses it deeply, or if the only feelings he has for Xiaobao are purely brotherly. I read that in the novel he only cares for Xiaobao like an older brother. So maybe it’s just the case of Su Yin’s actor Li Junliang having inappropriate romantic chemistry with Wang Yunkai. 😉

And aww, it looks to me as if Xiaobao already forgave Huaien. His mouth says ‘no’, but his heart already said ‘yes’. ❤️

And everything about that talk when Jinbao admitted to liking Siming was hilarious. Especially poor Zhaocai rolling his eyes about having to deal with two love sick fools now. And Jinbao dreamily saying how handsome Siming is, and Xiaobao instantly asking “Can he compare with Huaien?” I laughed out loud, which was very welcomed during watching this very tense episode.

Fanfic writing

I guess my brain really wants to write that modern AU for Meet You At The Blossom right now, because I have 2000 words already, 1400 of which is filthy smut. Yay me! I think. 😉 But also argh, it’s shaping up to be another long, for me, fic. Like probably somewhere between 8k and 10k. That one won’t be finished soon for sure.

But I already have four other started MYATB fics now. One has 1500 words and is closest to be finished. The other three fics have around 300-400 words each. Here is hoping I will manage to finish one of those soon. 😊

Drama watching

And what amuses me is the fact that out of all the new dramas on streaming services I’m paying for I decided to start watching a Japanese BL drama, which is not available for international audience at all, so I have to rely on generous fans willing to make English fansubs.

This drama is called Sugar Dog Life. It’s about a romance between the university student Sakuraba Isumi and the police officer Amasawa Kyosuke. Two episodes aired for now and I like it a lot. It’s charming and cozy, and has two things I really like – an age gap pairing (Isumi is 20 years old, Kyosuke is supposed to be around 30, I think) and ‘food as the love language’ trope.

If someone would like to check this drama out - here is the post on reddit with information where to find both subbed episodes.

My shipping preferences

I’m amusing myself by navel-gazing about them. But I’ll do that behind the cut, because there are minor spoilers there for Theory of Love, KinnPorsche and Meet You At The Blossom. 😊

Read more.I do find it funny that when I watched Theory of Love I was firmly against Third ending up with Khai. And Khai was just a regular, callous asshole, who trampled all over Third’s feelings. But that’s all he did. And I disliked him immensely, and I thought that Third could do so much better.

And yet I did cheer on Vegas and Pete, and I am cheering on Huaien and Xiaobao now to get together and have a happily ever after. And both Vegas and Huaien did so much worse things to the objects of their affection (and to other people, too) than just being a dismissive selfish jerk like Khai was to Third.

But I guess that’s it, isn’t it? Maybe it’s much easier for me to accept Vegas’ and Huaien’s... well, everything, because it’s so OTT and not like real life at all. For me Khai’s treatment of Third is too close to real life assholishness, and that is the main reason that I was so against Khai and Third ending as a happy couple. In fiction someone being a realistic asshole is often much worse to me than killing people, torture, destroying someone’s family and dubcon sex. 😊

This is the best news ever: My Personal Weatherman manga will have the additional 7th chapter to be released on Japanese online manga platform CMOA on August 18. Here is the twit by the author Taino Nikke with a lovely cover pic. Please, please, please, let it mean that maybe there will be at least a post-drama movie with Higuchi Kouhei and Mashiko Atsuki in the future. Because I don’t dare to dream about the 2nd season.

There are four more days till the next episode of Meet You At The Blossom, and there’s only so many times you can re-watch existing 10 episodes. And believe me I’ve re-watched them a lot already. So I’m trying to distract myself by watching Snowafall – a vampire cdrama set in the Republican era. And it works a little bit. Because I love vampires, the Republican era, and age gap relationships. And the main villain is gorgeous and I love watching him being menaced by our male lead. I watched seven episodes for now, and I find it very entertaining.

And now something about two new non BL GMMTV dramas.

Since I’m on the lookout for a Monday drama to watch, I checked the 1st episode of Summer Night with a few familiar faces in the cast – mainly Phuwin, Dunk and Lookjun. I had very low expectations before watching, after all it is a high school drama where the main plot seems to be a teenage love triangle. But I was very pleasantly surprised.

The 1st episode was pretty good, and very cute. The female lead Star played by newbie Parn is super adorable, Phuwin and Dunk both look so pretty, and their characters are interesting, too. (and I admit that I ship Lune and White a little, Phuwin and Dunk have nice chemistry, and Lune and White’s friendship started with an accidental kiss. 😊). And there is a cute secondary m/m couple. And maybe there will be a f/f couple, too?
Spoilers here.Since Lookjun’s character Ivy clearly has a big crush on Star, and I really hope she will get a girlfriend later.
So that’s another enjoyable watch for me, and for now I do plan to watch the rest of the episodes, too.

And here is the trailer for Peaceful Property with Tay and New as leads. It’s a comedy about friendship and ghost hunting. There are a few other familiar actors in the cast – most notably for me Force and Book. They have one tiny scene in the trailer, so I don’t know if they will be there as secondary characters, or if it’s just cameo. But still the trailer looks entertaining, and I will watch at least the 1st episode. It starts airing on August 28.

But yep, can’t have a post these days without something about Meet You At The Blossom. 😊

A rec first: Dynasty - a lovely Huaien/Xiaobao fanvid.

And usually the only AU fics I read are canon divergence AUs. I’m not saying I never read other AUs, I do sometimes especially when the fandom is small and I’m starved for fanfic, or if I trust the author. Right now when it comes to MYATB fanfic I want all the fics in canon setting. Fix it, angst, fluff, smut – give me all of it and I’ll try to read it.

But then I see pics of Li Le and Wang Yunkai looking adorable together, like this for instance:

And I think now I also want all the modern AUs, too? I might have started writing one already, oops. 😊 This is the third MYATB fic I started writing. Brain, I would really appreciate it you could focus on finishing at least one fic before getting distracted by a shiny new idea, ok? 😉

So much angst, so much suffering, so many tears. I loved it. 😍

Squee with spoilers here. This whole first talk between Huaien and Xiaobao speaks straight to my id.

Xiaobao: “I’ll kill you.”

Huaien: “Kill me if you want. It’s better for me to be killed by you than to be tortured like that.”

Xiaobao: “Who is torturing whom? Tell me the truth. What do you want from me? As long as you promise not to hurt my parents, I’ll give you anything you want.”

Huaien: “Xiaobao, why can’t you understand? All I want is you.”

Xiaobao: “You want me to die.”

Huaien: “I won’t let you die. Xiaobao, I’m begging you. Please don’t push me. I want to take you to a place where no one is around and lock you up. That way, you’ll never see your parents again. Do you want that?”

And later Huaien says: “Whether you forgive me or not, I won’t let you go. It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s that I can’t.”

Ahhh, here are these delightful shivers down my spine again. When it’s done just right that sort of deep, possessive and obsessive, and dangerous, and toxic love presses all my buttons.

And Xiaobao doesn’t want to love Huaien, wishes he could stop, but he can’t, it’s too deep inside him, and in a way he’s obsessed, too.

Su Yin starts to get more and more morally grey. And I can’t decide if the drama wants me to read him as having romantic feelings for Xiaobao or not. Because it really feels like his hatred for Huaien is something more than just hatred for a guy who hurt your best friend.

Huaien of course thinks that Su Yin wants to seduce Xiaobao, but Huaien is, well, insanely jealous and obsessed and possessive, and not thinking clearly where Xiaobao is concerned. So I’m not taking his read on the situation as being true. 😉

Que Siming is the agent of chaos, and he loves drama, and I love him.

“Jin Xiaobao, your ex-lover is coming.”

Heh, it was said with such a glee and a mischievous light in his eyes. But the way he looks at Jinbao right after is so soft and fond. And it seems that yes, him and Jinbao have a childhood connection. I wish the drama devoted a tiny bit more time to them, but still what we’re getting is cute and lovely. Like for instance the small moment when he shields Jinabao with his sleeve from the smoke during the confrontation between Huaien and Su Yin.

And I love Huaien’s guard twins. They satisfy my loyalty kink big way.

I saw two teasers for episode 11 and I think we’ll be getting a proper reconciliation between Xiaobao and Huaien. And maybe Xiaobao finally getting cured. I hope so. Then episode 12 can be nothing but cuteness, fluffiness and sexiness. 😊

And then I will re-watch it (and more than once, I’m sure) and hopefully finish one of my started MYATB fics. Also hopefully other people will finish their fics, and I will have a lot to read. And it will be one of my Yuletide fandoms, of course. 😊

♥ ♥ ♥ It was intense, and beautiful, and painful. We’re still in the ‘ouch, ouch, my heart hurts’ phase. And the next episode will have more of that pain and suffering – I saw the teaser, I know what to expect. But bring it on, give me all that delicious angst. 😊

Spoilers here.So yes, Huaien is the Emperor’s son. But he doesn’t want to have anything to do with the court and his biological father. He only wants to save Xiaobao.

And, as far as my viewing experience goes, that is really rather unusual for an Asian drama - the emperor being a decent guy, and wanting to make up to Huaien for being abused by the second prince in the past. And then not stopping him when Huaien said ‘no, thanks, and fuck you’.

And of course everything about Xiaobao and Huaien and their beautiful, fucked up relationship was so, so good to me.

Like Xiaobao taking off his matching hairpin and throwing it away. And the pain in Huaien’s eyes when he saw that.

But also, damn, Huaien is just so... He really was convinced that Xiaobao would instantly forgive him if he just appeared in front of Xiaobao wearing the hairpin Xiaobao gifted him, and saying in a soft voice that now he knows how to love, now he loves Xiaobao, after all Xiaobao only lost some money, what does it matter, after all Xiaobao promised that he would forgive Huaien no matter what Huaien did wrong. Because Xiaobao did something wrong and Huaien forgave him. Because getting drunk in a brothel is exactly the same as destroying someone’s family according to Huaien. Wow, and I’m saying this with all my love, is that boy damaged...

And of course he resorted to violence as soon as Xiaobao said ‘no’ and lied that he doesn’t love Huaien.

And of course Xiaobao lies that he doesn’t love Huaien, he throws these words into Huaien’s face because he knows it will hurt him. But he’s so scared when it looks like Prince Shen might kill Huaien. And he makes a choice not to use the poison Prince Shen gave him, and later he burns it.

And I do love the scene with Huaien realizing how badly he fucked up, and that his actions didn’t just cause Jin family to lose money. It caused Xiaobao to be tortured and poisoned, and now he’s in so much pain, with only the tiny chance for recovery. That shocked, anguished look on his face when he was looking at Su Yin taking care of Xiaobao, at Su Yin putting his cloak around Xiaobao’s shivering body, at Su Yin saying: ‘you did this to him, it’s all your fault’.

And ahhh, that scene with Huaien just lurking unnoticed outside and checking up on Xiaobao, and smiling slightly when he heard Xiaobao laughing and having that moment of happiness with his family. Even if that happiness doesn’t include him.

4 minutes

BeOnCloud’s new BL drama is finally here. Welcome back on my screen, Bible. I missed your beautiful face and your acting talent.

I watched the 1st episode, it was good, and I am very intrigued. And I trust Sammon, who wrote the screenplay, so I’m pretty sure the rest of the eight episodes will be good, too. Now I have a dilemma if I want to watch it at the pace of one episode a week. Or should I wait for all the eight episodes to air, and then watch it all in two-three days. Maybe I’ll wait since I can’t watch it legally anyway. Or, you know, I probably could, but only by jumping through hoops (it’s available on VIU, and only in Thailand and a few other Southeast Asian countries). And I’m too lazy to do that. The other way is so much easier. 😊

The Rebound

In one word – disappointing. A strong start, very mixed middle part, and a very bad ending. I watched the last two episodes basically fast-forwarding through most of it. A few good secondary characters kept me watching in the second half, but the screenplay was very weak, and I have to say that Meen and Ping don’t work for me at all. Separately as actors, or as a pairing. I haven’t seen any of their previous dramas, but here they were not good at all. Even their chemistry was only so, so for me.

Feng Yue Shi

It’s a Chinese BL mini webdrama. I found it here on Youtube. Or rather Yotube recommended it to me, presumably because I watched so many Meet You At The Blossom vids lately. Good work this time, Youtube algorithm, I trained you well. 😉

It’s very short, only 7 minutes, but it packs so much in such a short time – angst, drama, love, jealousy, murder, and a sort of a twist ending. I enjoyed it a lot, and I already watched it twice. 😊

Meet You At The Blossom

And of course I can’t have a post these days without something about my beloved little drama.

Here is a preview from episode 9. It’s a post on tumblr that also has fan translation of the dialogue from that scene. And wow, Huaien, you’re horrible. But I still love you to pieces. 😊 Also argh, I want it to be Wednesday right now so badly.

One more thing - you know that couply magazine photoshoots BL ships always get when they become popular? Guess what - Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun had one photoshoot like that, too, lately, for Cosmopolitan.

Here is one pic from that photoshoot:

And here is Making Of vid. And here we also have a short interview for Cosmopolitan titled “What Happens When Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun Only See Each Other?” 😊

The best part is when they start talking about expanding on the story from K.Will’s two vids. Seo In Guk starts pitching a short drama. And Ahn Jae Hyun says he prefers a movie. And then adds: “Just throw in a bed scene.” Heh, but also - yes, please, get on that South Korea. They‘re both very good actors, they are good friends, they’re clearly very comfortable with each other, and they have fantastic chemistry. Can you imagine if we saw them kiss? Because I will be forever disappointed that this moment:

didn’t make it into the “No Sad Song For My Broken Heart” vid.

I still didn’t have time to re-watch episode 7 properly on my laptop, because I came back from Warsaw earlier today just in time to watch episode 8. So here have my impressions for episode 7 written yesterday after watching. And my fresh reaction to episode 8. Be warned – it’s mostly screaming and crying. 😉

Episode 7

Ouch, my heart. It is a cdrama, all right.

Spoilers here.So much angst, so much suffering. My heart was stomped upon and everything hurts. And I’m eating it up with a spoon. 😊

My poor, poor Xiaobao... That was the worst birthday ever. His family got destroyed, he got tortured, and he’s convinced his beloved betrayed him and left him to die. And he still tries to reach out to him even when he’s out of his mind from pain.

And my poor little meow meow Huaien… Of course what gives him strength to break up his chains is his obsessive love and his possessive jealousy over Xiaobao. As soon as he heard that Xiaobao was with Su Yin those chains didn’t stand the chance. 😉

And the way Huaien screamed when he woke up in chains again and realized that this time he couldn’t get out of them to go to Xiaobao. There was so much pain on his face, and his anguished scream made my heart hurt.

And Su Yin is wonderful, and I love him. He’s a good person and a good friend.

And finally, finally we meet the second half of our secondary couple – the miracle doctor Que Siming, Jinbao’s love interest. It was the great first impression. I like him already.

Episode 8

Aaaaaa!!! How can you end it here?! And now I have to wait another six days? That is unacceptable.

Spoilers here, too.Yes, they have a connection (like a cultivation connection, maybe, I’m not sure, I don’t watch a lot of wuxia dramas) – Huaien feels when Xiaobao is in pain.

And Xiaobao tells himself that he hates Huaien now, my poor baby...

“That’s the last time I think of him. He’s not worth it.”

Ouch, ouch, ouch, it hurts so much. Don’t make Xiaobao suffer anymore, show, I’m begging you. I can’t stand to see tears in his pretty eyes. I want him to be happy and carefree again. Even though he can never go back to how things were before, after all this.

And our secondary couple looks promising. And they have some sort of connection, too. I think it’s a childhood connection. After all Siming recognized Jinbao’s voice before he even saw him. And Jinbao doesn’t recognize Siming at all, but he recognized the bracelet he saw in our dear doctor’s things.

And oh wow, Crown Prince Shaoyu is a spoiled brat. Xiaobao was spoiled, too, but he was also kind, sweet, and caring. Shaoyu is arrogant and selfish. He can disappear for all I care. I really hope him and Su Yin aren’t the endgame third couple. Su Yin deserves better.

And OMG that last scene... They are both finally in one place again. And Huaien is wearing his matching hairpin Xiaobao gave him. 😍

I’m sure Huaien has a secret plan how to outsmart his asshole father, but will it succeed? At the same time there are only four episodes left. Not that much time for solving all the problems before a happy ending. Apparently the novel has a happy ending, so I hope the drama does, too. I want that wedding. 😊

I’m going to Warsaw tomorrow and will be back on Thursday. It’s inconvenient to take my quite heavy laptop on such a short trip by train. But no laptop means that I will have to watch the new episode of my current beloved drama on Wednesday on my phone. And I really don’t like watching anything longer than 15-20 minutes on my phone. But at the current level of my obsession it’s absolutely impossible for me to wait with watching episode 7 to Thursday. How can I, especially after that emotional episode 6. 😉

In the meantime let’s talk about episode 6 some more. Because we found out a lot of backstory in this episode. But I admit all this courtly intrigue and a fight over the throne goes a little over my head. I’m so focused on our beautiful main romance (and on waiting for the secondary couples 😊 ) that I don’t pay much attention to all this talk about who did what to whom, and who killed whom, and who’s a prince and who’s a prince son.

I think I get more or less what happened in the past, but don’t ask me for a lot of details, because for now I also don’t really care that much. 😊

But this is what I got so far, with spoilers of course. Mainly drama spoilers with a bit of the novel spoilers. I don’t plan to read the novel, it doesn’t sound like something I would like. But I glanced at the novel spoilers once or twice out of curiosity. I just like to know things.

Read more.So Huaien is a secret prince, but I suspected that before. As I understand it - Huaien’s mother was from Xue family (that family Xiaobao’s father helped destroy), and was beloved of the second prince, and she was kidnapped by the current emperor (the second prince’s brother) to be his concubine. But she still had a secret affair with the second prince and that’s how Huaien was born.

And I thought that the former emperor had three sons: the current emperor, the second prince – Huaien’s father, and prince Shen. But I saw someone mention that he had four sons, so I guess there is one more?

And according to the novel’s spoilers Huaien is really the emperor’s son, not the second prince’s son. And the second prince knows this, and that’s why he abused Huaien so badly.

The second prince wants to start the rebellion and overthrow the emperor. And he manipulated a few merchants and used them to accumulate wealth. The Jin family was one of them.

Xiaobao’s friend Su Yin is something like a titled prince. He wasn’t born a prince, but was given the title by his grandfather. I don’t know yet what his role will be in all this.

And here are my musings (with one pic) about that scene from episode 6.For me that dubcon sex went a lot better than I expected. And listen, that scene is absolutely dubcon. I’m not denying that at all. But before Huaien pulls at the curtain, it really looks to me as if Xiaobao sort of gives a tiny nod to Huaien to go on. And after Huaien pulls the curtains close it looks like Xiaobao reaches out with his hand to pull Huaien down by the shoulder.

But it was toxic, no doubt about that. But also completely in character for Huaien. Who was shaped by his abusive father to be a cold, ruthless killing machine, and the only model of relationship he knows is his parents’ unhealthy, obsessive love. Which, he kinda repeats the same pattern here, doesn’t he?

Xiaobao is scared, but IMO not because he thinks Huaien will hurt him. He’s shaken because his beloved just cut someone’s hand off. And he’s scared that Huaien won’t believe that Xiaobao went to that brothel not to cheat on him but for one purpose only – to secure medicine for his father. And well, he’s right. Huaien doesn’t believe him.

And then after all that Huaien dreams about Xiaobao saving him again. I’m certain that Xiaobao will do that in reality, too.

And of course there is Huaien’s declaration:

“Jin Xiaobao, you tantalized me first. Since you’ve started it, you can’t go back. It’s okay if you can’t control yourself. I’ll control you. You can enjoy life and have no fears, and it’s all because of the wealth of the Jin family. Then, I’ll take everything from you so that you can’t tantalize anyone else. From now on, no matter in heaven or hell, you can only rely on me.”

*delightful shivers down my spine* This is so possessive and obsessive and dark. I love it so much. It hits my id dead on.

For me it feels like I was so in love with Xiaobao from the beginning that I couldn’t appreciate Huaien properly. I did love him, just not as much as I loved Xiaobao. But now... Now he went all over the top possessive and problematic and murdery, and voila – I am so, so in love. Beautiful, broken, violent men who fall so hard in love for the first time, and who are taught how to love by their cute and bright sunshine boyfriends, are so my type.

Ok, you know what? I now realized that Huaien actually reminded of Vegas Theerapanyakul a little – abused by his asshole father, raised to be a ruthless killer, mistreating his love interest. No wonder I love him so much. 😊

And I’ll end this post with the BTS pic of the kiss, because it’s beautiful and I love it:

RL is complicated.

Complaining about health related problems here. It’s nothing life threatening, but they pile on lately and it makes me so tired. My heart is fine – that’s one good thing. But chronic tension-type headaches and a lot of horrible and/or annoying perimenopausal symptoms are hard enough. Hormone replacement therapy would probably help for that second one, but I can’t take it, because a risk for breast cancer is too big in my case. And now, in addition to all that, I have to deal with rehabilitation for tennis elbow, too. Thanks a lot, life, really. *sigh*

I think that’s why I fell so hard for Meet You At The Blossom. It’s my escape from real life problems. It’s so over the top and as far from anything resembling real life as it can be. It’s great for me right now. But hey, I watch other dramas sometimes, too. 😊

The Rebound

Just like I predicted episodes 9 and 10 were all about high school drama. So boring to me.

A few minors spoilers here.I would be more interested if the show gave me coach Ton/director Aun. But no – director Aun has a wife and kids, boo. Or if the show gave me throuple ending with Ryu, Zen and Atom, instead of a standard boring love triangle.

Well, I guess for me it will be another Thai BL which had entertaining eight episodes and went boring in the last four.

The Trainee

I never mentioned before that I also started watching OffGun’s new drama. And it’s ok. Nothing special, but a nice enough watch on Sunday evenings. Gun looks very beautiful, Off looks super hot (and his character is actually pretty cool, and much better than it looked like in the trailer), their chemistry is still there, and the plot is mildly interesting, and hasn’t made me press a fast-forward button yet. Good enough for me for now. 😊

Sunset x Vibes

I’m afraid this drama is losing me. I might even drop it. Because even my love for Mos and Bank can’t keep me entertained. The 6th episode was so boring, and oddly paced, and badly edited. Yes, I fast-forwarded through a lot of it. It’s a bad sign. It still could improve of course, but I don’t know, I’m not feeling very optimistic.

More with spoilers here.I don’t like daddy kink, so every time Salin calls Sun “Khun Dad” it’s like a bucket of cold water over my head. I can’t even find their kissing sexy with that in the background.

Right now I’m mainly watching only for the secondary pairings, and especially Sam and Yo. Damn it, Sam, just tell him who you really are. Yo will feel betrayed anyway, but it will be so much worse the longer you put it off. I think that probably, for maximum drama, Yo will find out in some other way that Sam isn’t just an ordinary guy, but a super rich brother of their CEO, before Sam will have a chance to confess. And then there will be so much angst.

I write a little, too. I have 800 words written of my Meet You At The Blossom fic. And a few days ago I posted my Jao/Wayu fic for Two Worlds.

Then his lips part, a tiny fraction, but even that is enough to inflame something new and bright, something so beautiful in Jao.

Their first time in episode 9 from Jao's POV.

Episode 5

I loved it so much. There were so many good, lovely and beautiful things here. 😍 But then I saw the previews for the next episode and I was so scared. 😨

So many spoilers here.At least I had a lot of adorable scenes in this episode.

My sweet sunshine Xiaobao holding onto Huaien’s sleeve, Xiaobao declaring his love whenever he can so openly, Xiaobao holding the sword in his trembling hands prepared to protect Huaien.

And my cold kitty Huaien finally defrosting a little, Huaien initiating the hug, and the way his hands tightened on Xiaobao’s robe during that hug, Huaien smiling a wide, happy smile because he heard Xiaobao talking about how much he loves Huaien.

But then that ending... And, wow, jealous Huaien literally murdered people because of it. And like I get why Huaien is so jealous. And it’s really not just because he’s jealous. He feels betrayed. He let Xiaobao convince him that Xiaobao’s love is true, and not just a passing fancy. He opened up to Xiaobao, he started to trust him. And now this happens – everyone around him told him that’s the way Xiaobao was, and Huaien starts to believe them, he thinks that Xiaobao’s brothel visit is the proof of Xiaobao’s fickleness. That Huaien isn’t his one and only love. And Huaien is already on the truly unhinged ‘you’re mine and no one else’s’ level of his love. All he asked of Xiaobao was “don’t lie to me.” And now he thinks Xiaobao did lie to him.

Episode 6

OH MY GOD... Like I’ve said I watched the preview for this ep yesterday, so I knew what to expect. There will be more detailed thoughts later after re-watching, for now just a bit of incoherent rambling right after watching the episode.

Spoilers here, too. There was so much drama, angst, and tragedy, and betrayal. And dubcon sex, too. My sweet sunshine Xiaobao suffered so much. I can’t stand to see him in pain and crying.

I guess it comes with a price - being loved by a man as damaged as Huaien. But, fuck it, I love it. It’s like the best and most iddy fanfic. And I live for this obsessed, possessive, unhinged Huaien.

“I’ll take everything from you so you have no choice but to rely only on me.”

Damn... It sent shivers down my spine. In a good way. And now I have to wait six days for the next episode? Argh... Give it to me now, now, now.
