First let me brag a little about my Yuletide writing. 😊 I finished my assignment fic, and I finished the first draft of one treat and I have 1100 words written of the second treat. Yay, me!


And now onto the trailers and drama watching.

Studio Wabi Sabi presented their lineup for the next year. And it seems 2024 will be the year of vampires in Thai BL. Because here is the pilot trailer for their drama called for now The Vampire Project. It looks campy and sexy and entertaining. And since I love vampires I’m very much in.

One other trailer caught my attention - for a GL drama called Sunshine in the Wind. It looks pretty and sweet, and I’m all for more Thai GL dramas.


And here is a teaser trailer for supernatural kdrama Gyeongseong Creature with Han So Hee. I plan to watch it, even though it’s creepy, and creepy is not my thing. But I love Han So Hee a lot, and it looks intriguing and intense. The 1st part will be on Netflix in December.


Love Senior continues to be lovely and brings me so much joy. Manaow is such a brave, strong, wonderful girl and I love her. And I want to hug her and tell her ‘you’ll have your happy ending with Gyo, sweetie, just wait for a little bit longer’. 😊 Also wheeee, Max Nattapol guest starred in episode 3. What a nice surprise it was, to see his beautiful face on my screen again.


Last Twilight is very good. If you like more mature BL then this is the drama for you. The 3rd episode made me tear up a little and then made me smile so much. The screenplay is good, the directing is perfect, our leads are both decent actors, the supporting cast is wonderful (Mark Pakin, Namtan, Film, Ohm Thipakorn). And Jimmy and Sea are both very pretty and they have this kind of warm, easy chemistry that is really pleasurable to watch.

And when it comes to our main characters - Day (Sea) is ok, I like him. But Mhok (Jimmy), ahhh, Mhok... He is my baby, and I already love him so much. Bad boy? What bad boy? Mhok is the sweetest guy alive. 😊


I also watched the 1st episode of The Sign (Thai BL, which is a fantasy action romance with a little murder mystery added to the mix). It’s fine, I’m interested for now, and it will be nice to have a BL drama to watch on Saturdays again.

Well, the typical November weather is upon us. It’s only 2°C today, and it’s dark, cold and raining all the time. What can I do but watch dramas instead of going outside? 😊

Love Senior episode 1

My first GL tag, woohoo! And the drama gets its own tag because I really, really liked that 1st episode and I will be watching every week.

Manaow is adorable. She’s confident, honest and kind. Every girl instantly falls in love with her. And I get them, because I did, too. Her love interest Gyoza is wonderful, too. The leads have great chemistry and there are already feelings and flirting (like for instance this scene 😊) and looking into each other eyes with lovey-dovey gaze.

The secondary couple, what little we could see about them in that episode (one is strict and serious, the other is sweet and perky), was very cute, too.

Laws of Attraction

It’s a Thai BL drama that reminded me a little bit of Manner of Death. In the sense that this is more a gay romantic suspense drama than a BL. Here too the main plot is about two leads, who are on the opposite sides at first, but who have to join forces to solve the case of the violent death of a person close to one of them. And the romance (or rather two romances) is secondary to that.

The main romance is between Charn, a clever and ruthless lawyer with loose morals and with traumatic past and Tinn, a kind, humble, and down to earth martial arts teacher, whose young niece is killed in a suspicious car accident.

The secondary pairing (and my current obsession, because loyalty kink gets me every time 😊) is between a broken rich young man who is abused and beaten badly by his own father and his devoted bodyguard who is willing to become a whipping boy if it means protecting his young master, with whom he’s so clearly in love with.

There is a third amazing older f/f pairing between Charn’s friend, a cool and beautiful club owner Rose (played by the actress who was also Nueng’s mother in Never Let Me Go) and a sexy and saucy singer Maya (played by very talented queer Thai singer Silvy). They’re so great separately and together, but they don’t have much screentime, they are more of a background pairing.

And there is a lovely and beautiful happy ending (with a touching appeal for marriage equality) for everyone.

I compared this drama to Manner of Death, but I have to warn you that it’s much worse when it comes to the screenplay and the production values and the fighting scenes and the heat level. It’s not true lakorn (Thai soap opera), but it’s lakorn-ish. And don’t expect much kissing, either. I mean, there is some, but not much. And I have to say that as much as Film (Charn) and Jam (Tinn) are good at acting and their chemistry is fantastic, and there is quite a lot of touching and small intimate moments, they’re not that good at kissing unfortunately. They’re not horrible, but they are definitely nowhere near MaxTul level of hotness. 😊

But I enjoyed this drama immensely, I’m feeling very fannish about it (like writing fics fannish), and I recommend it for those who like more mature BL dramas that aren’t set at high school or university. The drama has only 8 episodes, but each episode is around 50-55 minutes long. Here is the playlist on Youtube with all the episodes.


Kiseki: Dear to Me

I finally watched the last three episodes. It was very entertaining. The plot IMO didn’t make much sense, but the acting and chemistry for both pairing were so wonderful that all the plot holes were very easy to ignore. At least for me. 😊 And this drama had so many wonderful, surprising cameos by actors from a few other Taiwanese BL dramas – History 3 MODC, Be Loved In House, Plus & Minus, History 4 Close To You. I also watched two more episodes of Lucky My Love (yeah, it’s still cute, but nothing more than that), and the 1st episode of Last Twilight (it was ok, JimmySea as a pairing doesn’t do much for me, but they’re both decent actors and the story looks good, so for now I will be watching).



Last but not least - GMMTV posted the official trailer for OffGun's new drama Cooking Crush. Watch it here. It looks very fluffy and cute and I can’t wait to watch it. It premiers on November 26th.

Let’s start with GL.

Love Senior

The official trailer for Star Hunter’s GL drama Love Senior aired two days ago. It's here. It looks nice, and I want more GL dramas, so I will try it out. It premiers on November the 8th (on youtube I think), and it will have 10 episodes.


Lucky My Love

It’s another Thai GL drama that started airing recently. It’s short – only 5 episodes each 25 minutes long. It’s an office romance with a boss/employee pairing.

Here is the 1st episode. The 2nd episode will air today. It’s cute, I can’t say much more after that 1st episode, but it’s not set in high school or at the university, and the leads are both decent actresses, are very pretty and have good chemistry, so I do plan to watch all of it.


And now let’s talk about BL.

Dangerous Romance finale

After the last four disappointing episodes the finale was pretty good IMO.

First of all my favorites Nawa and Guy finally kissed, and what a lovely kiss it was. I really loved their enemies-to-lovers romance, and I wish we got to see much more of them that what we got in the drama. I can’t wait for We Are, I want to see Marc and Pawin as the couple in another drama asap. And here you can watch the whole scene with an adorable 'be my boyfriend’ proposal and that lovely, hot kiss.

Saifah and Name – we got just a tiny hint at the end for that couple, and again, I wanted so much more screentime with them. Hopefully there will be at least a few fics to satisfy my hunger. 😊

Our GL pairing Pimfah and Nabdao got even less screentime than Saifah and Name had, but they were adorable. Let me repeat – hopefully there will be fanfic.

Also the friendship between Max and Auto was the best thing ever. I ship them a little, too.

As for our main couple – ehhh, they were ok, Sailom and Kang are sweet and loving boyfriends. But Perth and Chimon still are rather awkward at kissing and all the other physical stuff. Or rather Perth gives his all, but it’s clear IMO that Chimon is uncomfortable with kissing a guy. He’s a good actor, but maybe he should just stick to not BL dramas. But they managed to surprise me with that kinky escort and client roleplay. Didn’t expect that, but good for them. 😊

Last Twilight

It’s a new GMMTV drama written and directed by Aof Noppharnach (the guy who made The Tale of 1000 Stars and Moonlight Chicken). Of course I will be watching it. It premiers on November the 10th.

It’s about poor mechanic Mork, who’s deep in debt, and that’s why he accepts a job as a caregiver to Day, a professional badminton player from a rich family, who is partially blind after an accident. It’s a rich boy/poor boy romance with Jimmy and Sea as the leads. I hope it will be good, so I’ll have something to watch on Fridays after Dangerous Romance ended.

RL is ehh – the less said the better. Some things should clear up the next week, so that’s good. We’ll see. And for now let’s talk about more interesting things.


Yuletide 2023

I like my assignment, and even started writing already. I have only 200 words for now, but it’s a start. I also bookmarked seven other requests. There’s no way 7 treats are happening, but I hope at least one will.


BL dramas

Thai BL drama Red Peafowl is about a dark romance between a police officer and a psychotic mafioso. It really looks as if someone wanted to make another KinnPorsche. I wonder if they will succeed.

I only got interested in that drama, because it has Max Nattapol as a supporting character. Tul said goodbye to acting and I’ll always be a little bit sad about that, because they were great together. But I love Max and I’m very interested in watching him in another drama. And apparently his love interest in this one is Boun Noppanut from Until We Meet Again and Between Us.

Here is the post on boyslove reddit with all the cast listed and with clips from the live broadcast, including parts of the pilot (no English subs, though). It looks OTT and a bit trashy, but could be entertaining. As long as they won’t pretend that consent issues aren’t consent issues then I’m in. It’s supposed to air in 2024.

Let’s start with a few more trailers from GMMTV 2024 line-up.

We Are

Looks like a typical fluffy university BL, but it has four pairings: PondPuwin (love them a lot, they were great in Never Let Me Go), MarcPawin (love them a lot, too, right now in Dangerous Romance), WinnySantang (they’re ok, not my favorites, but I enjoyed them in My School President), and AouBoom (I saw both of them as supporting characters in Enchante, curious how are they as a couple). And the director New Siwaj did A Boss And A Babe, which I adore. So I’m definitely watching this one.


My Love Mix-Up!

The second GeminiFourth fluffy high school BL – the Thai version of Japanese BL drama Kieta Hatsukoi. Not really my thing, but I like Gemini and Fourth a lot, and it will be a sweet, heartwarming drama, so I will probably watch that one, too.


The Trainee

A new office BL drama with OffGun, of course I will be watching it. 😊 And there is a secondary GL couple (maybe? I hope so, at least that’s what it looks like from the trailer).


Speaking of GL dramas GMMTV will have one next year, too: Pluto

It looks a bit soap opera-ish with a lot of angst and mystery and over- the-topness. And the beginning reminds of Not Me – there are twins, one is in a coma because of a suspicious car accident, and the other twin pretends to be her to find out the person responsible. And then she falls in love with her sister’s ex-girlfriend. Namtan and Film are the main couple, and they are both good actresses. And I think there is a secondary GL couple, too. And it has Thor Thinnaphan as an unhinged villain. I can’t wait. 😊

I finished my Yuletide letter, yay. I’m too tired to do my sign-up today, will do it tomorrow, but there are already a few requests I could write for, so things are looking good here.

Only Friends and Naughty Babe were both again wonderful last week. Dangerous Romance’s last episode was a bit disappointing, but still entertaining. And I have a lot to watch: a new episode of Kiseki Dear to Me and two new episodes of My Dearest.

Last but absolutely not least – today GMMTV presented the first part of their line-up for 2024. And there are so many dramas I’m interested in. I’ll write more tomorrow, but for now I present to you two trailers I’m interested in the most.


My Golden Blood

GMMTV does vampire BL. I’m not a big fan of Fluke Gawin, but he’s not a bad actor, and it’s a first Thai vampire BL. I’m so there for it. And there are also Neo and Mond as bad guys. I can’t wait.


Wandee Goodday

It’s about a romance between a boxer and a surgeon, that starts as “friends with benefits” thing. There is also the fake dating and the cute sexy bunny roleplay (yes, really 😊). And since watching Manner of Death I wanted to see Great Sapol with his sinfully hot body as the lead in a BL drama. And here he is, looking sinfully hot as always. 😊

And the secondary couple is Thor Thinnaphan (I love him, he was Porsche in A Boss And A Babe) and the newbie Fluke Nattanon (who is the fourth actor named Fluke in GMMTV, so people call him Fluke IV, heh), and they look so cute together.

And when I started to write this post that link above was still working, but now the video is private, I don’t know why (but I’ll leave the link here for now, maybe they will make it public again soon). But the trailer is still available here in GMMTV 2024 Up & Above Live vid (the link goes right to the beginning of the trailer).

RL stresses me out. Partially because of a few health problems. And partially because parliamentary elections will be held in Poland on 15 October 2023. And I’m so scared that PIS is going to win again. Things are not great as it is in this country. Can you imagine how much worse can it get with four more years of PIS ruling unchallenged? I don’t even want to talk about the referendum, because it’s a farce.


Thankfully there are so many dramas to watch when I need cheering up. 😊

I finished watching ten available episodes of My Dearest. It was very good and very angsty. The second half (also with 10 episodes) will start airing on October 13th.

Minor spoilers with one fanvid rec behind the cut.

I find it fascinating that for all intents and purposes Ryang Eum plays the role of a jealous second female lead that will stop at nothing to keep the male lead and the female lead apart. But he’s also this kind of character I really like, who wouldn’t care if the whole world burned as long as his beloved was safe and well.

Episode 8 of Dangerous Romance was cute, but kinda disappointing. Mainly it’s the script’s fault – it’s pretty weak, and it’s more and more obvious with each new episode. Also it’s surprisingly sexless. And I’m not saying that it needs NC scenes, or even more kissing, absolutely not. It’s just this – do I believe Kang and Sailom love each other? Yes. Do I believe that they desire each other? No, not really. I don’t know, I thought Perth and Chimon had great chemistry in the first half of the drama. But now that Kang and Sailon became boyfriends it kinda fizzled out.


In contrast to that Naughty Babe this week was whew... *fans self* I’m talking about the uncut version of the 6th episode on iQIYI. I want to make gifs, but not today, I’m too tired today.


And of course the highlight of my week was the 9th episode of Only Friends.

Mew’s moms are adorable, I love them. And I like that Top decided to be a bigger person and didn’t show Mew that vid of Sand and Ray’s kiss. I’m so glad Top and Mew’s relationship is getting slowly repaired.

And this is Boeing? I thought that he looked vaguely familiar, and yeah, I’ve seen him in the drama before – it’s Mond who played Gram in Not Me. He’s gorgeous here. And the way he looks – sexy nerd with glasses, heh, Top absolutely has a type. And based on the preview for the next ep – I’m sure Top didn’t sleep with him. It seems that maybe he just helps Top with his insomnia? Maybe he’s some sort of a therapist?

I still wish for a Mix cameo, though. 😊


I’m actually fine with Sand/Ray despite my earlier misgivings? I guess because Sand is going into it with his eyes open. And Ray did tell him that Mew knew about Ray and Sand’s thing. Which wasn’t true in the sense that Ray didn’t tell Mew about them and was lying to Sand in that moment, but it was sort of true because Mew could clearly see Ray’s infatuation with Sand and he guessed what was going on.

And yes, Ray did to Mew what Top did. Just Mew didn’t really care, and it didn’t hurt him as much, because he didn’t love Ray romantically. But that scene when Ray yells at Mew because Mew didn’t want to have sex with him was awful. Ray is so entitled here. And listen, I went on the whole journey with Ray, because I didn’t like him at all at first, and then Khao’s fantastic acting and his beautiful face made me soften a bit on Ray, and then these last two episodes kinda soured me on him again.

But I am glad Mew and Ray are still friends even after that whole mess. I needed a bit of fluff after all the angst.


But Nick is the winner of "the one who had the most fluffy scenes in one episode" award.

First that super cute Sand/Nick scene. It was so great, their giggling after the kiss was infectious. I laughed out loud. I love Team Second Option. :DDD

Then that surprisingly lovely scene with Dan at the bar. And then that touching scene with Boston. And I wasn’t sure if I wanted Nick/Boston as the endgame before, but now I do, I think? 😊

That was so, so good. ♥

Mew in his villain era looks super hot.

And ok, I’m not as opposed to Mew/Ray as I thought I would be. It will be a disaster of epic proportions, and that’s why I like it and I’m here for it. If it was a straightforward romance – no, thank you. But this – Mew using Ray as rebound, Ray and his self-destructive tendencies... This is something for me. Give me all the angst and drama. And they are hot together. So give me also more Khao/Book kissing show, pretty please. 😊 And in the next episode there will be a Halloween party and in the preview Mew is dressed as Harley Quinn and Ray as Joker. And they both look fantastic. I can’t wait.

And I ship Top/Mew even more than before. They are so messy, angsty and complicated. But their feelings are genuine, and I can’t wait to see Top in caretaking role in the next episode. And I still want them to be the endgame. Kinda think they will be.

And I’m so obsessed with ForceBook right now that I started rewatching Enchante. And I like it much more than before. Obsession definitely helps. And I did watch A Boss And A Babe three times already, and I won’t tell you how many times I rewatched those seven episodes of Only Friends because it’s embarrassing. 😉 I just wanted to watch something else, so Enchante it is.

What can I say, I love Force and Book. They seem so sweet in RL, they are both such dorks, and they’ve known each other since kindergarten. And they’ve been friends for 16 years. And they clearly love each other dearly, and are so comfortable with each other, and trust each other. It makes my heart warm. And I love that Force is a few months younger than Book, and Book sometimes calls him Nong Force jokingly. LOL

I’m so ready for Mew’s villain era. He listened to the audio of Top and Boston fucking and then went back to the party and smiled at Top, and acted like nothing happened. He punched Ray, because he didn’t want Top to realize earlier that he knew about him and Boston. He was already thinking up the revenge on Top. And what a glorious moment it was.

“You know Top? I love the sound you make when having sex.”

“What sound?”

“This sound.”

And that look in his eyes... Damn, I’m so impressed with Book’s acting. I knew he was good when he made me love Cher from A Boss And A Babe despite Cher not being my kind of character at all. But here he’s fantastic.

That shot of Mew in the bath in the preview for the next ep – he looked scary. He will absolutely destroy Top, won’t he? And Boston, probably, too. And I can’t wait. 😊

Only Friends episode 5

What an episode... And now I have to wait the whole week for the next one? That’s so unfair. 😉

A lot of spoilers behind the cut.

First all three couples have sweet lovey-dovey scenes, even Nick and Boston. That soft kissing in the pool was really cute (Mark and Neo have great chemistry, and I’m so glad they will be paired up in Cooking Crush, too). And then came the drama... Mainly for Ray and Sand, and ouch, that hurt. I feel sorry for Ray, because Khao is a sensational actor and absolutely sells Ray’s despair and suffering and loneliness. And I feel like Ray tries to move on in this episode, to put his feelings for Mew behind him. And then Boston ruins that.

Boston is miserable and jealous, and he doesn’t want anybody else to be happy, either. He can’t take it out on Top and Mew, so he takes it out on Ray. Neo does such a great job with Boston, seriously. I’m very impressed. I knew he was a very good actor already, I loved him in The Eclipse, but still, this is the next level. Because I still kinda feel sorry for Boston? He’s so unhappy, and he doesn’t seem to realize it.

And IMO it’s really clear that Nick will be Boston’s downfall. Boston talking about one of his hookups taking a video without Boston’s knowledge and then trying to make money out of it is a foreshadowing, isn’t it?

And it’s so sad how Nick tries to make himself be more like Top, and it’s even sadder that it works. And Nick saw again what a shitty person and a shitty friend Boston is in this episode, and he still will be going on cute dates with him, based on the preview for the next episode. Nick is so messed up, but then they all are.

Maybe Mew is the least messed up – at least that’s how it looks for now. And I believe him when he says “I love you” to Top. And I believe Top when he says it back. The same when Top said to Mew “You make me want to be a better person” in the 4th episode. I believed him, too.

But it does seem to me as if they only see what they want to see in each other, they don’t see a real person behind the idealized version in their minds. Especially Mew, as he tries to squeeze Top into a neat box titled “a perfect boyfriend”. And ignores anything that doesn’t fit his preconceived idea. He ticked his “gets along with my friends” box for Top, when there was clearly tension between Top and Boston, and when Ray didn’t even try to pretend to like Top.

And I have one fic rec already – a great look at what could happen post episode 5 from Boston’s POV. And I don’t think we will get a happy ending in the drama, but it’s nice to read one in fanfic. 😊

A Time Called You is a Korean drama on Netflix. It’s a remake of Taiwanese drama Someday Or One Day. I tried watching Taiwanese original last year, and I managed to watch three or four episodes, but I never connected with it emotionally and I got so bored that I dropped it and never watched more.

I was thinking about trying a Korean version, because I like Jeon Yeo Been (the female lead) and Kang Hoon (the second male lead) a lot. But for now I watched the first ten minutes of the 8th episode, because I read that it’s like a short BL drama with Ahn Hyo Seop and Rowoon (who guest stars in this episode). And it really is. Just look at these two gifsets I found on tumblr. They are adorable. I would love a whole drama with them as the main couple. It’s a pity it will never happen.
